UPDATE: i will only be re-texturing the weapons and armor, and maybe the art. I may also change the sound effects for the weapons. If any one would like to do the terrain.png, i would be happy to make this a co-operative project.
Your talking about a collaborative effort with some one well Gvzbgul's 40k Pack has done the terrain but not much else, he's got some really good ideas so it might be an idea to talk to him, as for my texture pack im just happily stealing ideas from both of you, It is all imperial 40k though so its hardly unlikely their would have been cross overs anyway :tongue.gif:
So far it looks very good, I'm looking forward to the 32x version if you are going to do it. Also the Nether should really be Warp themed don't you think? It would make more sense IMO but you are the Creator so it's really up to you.

I agree that the Nether should be more like the warp but that would be kinda hard. Seeing as how the warp is a constantly changing color because its full of every emotion that the human race has.
I like the look of the weapons but I saw that only the leather armor's look is different. The icons for the iron armor may be different but the textures for it aren't kinda was disappointed about that.

Thanks! I'll be releasing pre-alpha v0.1 soon, and I'll add more armors soon as well as trying to make the nether warp themed.
Sorry, but I think that of all the universes that could be made in Minecraft, Warhammer 4K just fits it the LEAST...sci-fi Minecraft doesn't make any sense, and this project is going to require an absolutely huge amount of work if you want it to use custom models. A bolter bow makes little sense either, you'd have to customize it for faster firing and possibly make it blow chunks of the terrain with each shot as well (because bolter shots are explosive in fluff). And you'd have to replace the animals with something, cute piggies in WH4K just sounds wrong. :tongue.gif:
Original Warhammer (not 4K) would be a better choice imho because it is medieval fantasy styled, just like Minecraft, and you wouldn't need custom models for things like bows, swords and animals.
I understand your tastes and concerns, but not all things have to make sense for people to want it, in reality the minecraft world doesn't make all that much sense either but people just want to have fun and enjoy themselves. People will want what they want, and the people here want a Warhammer 40k texture pack. :3
It doesn't really have anything to do with consistency, but rather wanting the world to feel more like the world they love so much, making the game they love be so much better in their opinions! I'm sure someone will make the Medieval Warhammer texture pack eventually, but I imagine it won't be this guy. :tongue.gif:

just downloaded the pack. like it so far however i have one suggestion. all the space marine items (armor, sword) should be diamond so as to denote it being the "best available."
