I'm trying to make a minecraft movie and made a texture pack so most of the gui is out of the way, but where can I find the picture that contains tool health? I need to get rid of that so it is somewhat realistic. Help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, if you know any other good mods or tips for minecraft movies, let me know!
I'll gladly post the dl as long as I get some credit for the pack when you make your movie :biggrin.gif:
And I searched the whole gui folder and erased near everything if I didn't know what it did, and the health bars aren't there. What other folder could contain the health bars?

The health bars are specifically the "icons.png" located in that gui. Deleting it won't work because every time Minecraft runs it re-downloads a replacement if something is missing.
I would try and make the entire image a transparency.

I have, but I think you're thinking about the wrong health bars. The player health bar are taken care of, but the tool health bars I can't get rid of. I hope this image helps!
If the video doesnt have to be first person you can use F1 on the recording client and then follow a player around?
I'm planning on it being first person, and I have a texture pack that makes it look first person, except for those darn tool health bars!
Oh, those aren't able to be removed. =/
They are part of the items.png which if placed to transparent will remove the corresponding tool in-game as well
Try using an inventory editor to set the damage to -1000 or something.
The health bars appear because the tools take damage wen you use them, so that shoud get rid of them (and the bars won't pop up again until the damage increases past 0).

That also hides what the character is holding, which I want to be visible
In that folder is two .png files, "gui" and "icons" which should contain most, if not all, of the HUD.

After this is resolved I'll post the dl to the pack
