How come when i change the pigs texture when i start minecraft up it is still the default texture and then i open the zip file and my changed pig is still in there

Yes it is still called pig.png and there is only one
its not enought to just name it pig.png because i cane name it jpeg pig.png and it would still be a jpeg. plus is it in the mob folder? and are you using any mods that affect pigs?

yes you can you need to name the folder mob then you put the pig texture in there, then put that folder in the zip.
