Right so, Jeb recently posted this image on his twitter showing some of the new nether structures:
And as you can see those overpass looking things are made of Netherbrick.
Obviously when 1.9 is out, I'm going to have to make a new texture for the Netherbricks so they match the rest of the texture pack. And that's where you guys come in.
I have made 7 different possible Netherbrick textures. And you people get to decide which one I end up using for the 1.9 pack.
So here they are:
- stronghold styled brick
- cobblestone styled brick
- honeycomb reptilian block
- grass pattern style block
- piston style rock brick
- traditional colorful brick
- ornate inset tiles
for those who actually read this thread just post whichever one you like the most.

Your friendly neighborhood Kingpin here...
Well i like them all. I cant decide. But i like 3, 6, and 7 the most.
Hmm... personally I like 1, 2 and 6 the most. (6 being my favorite, gives the Nether a bit of color and the bridge thing would really stand out. 1 being my second favorite because it seems like a very appropriate texture of the bridge, and 2 being my third favorite, because I like the cobblestone texture anyway. :smile.gif:
You demean yourself to much in your op. This is a very good pack. Quirky yet simple. I know that there are some people who would not like your color choice, but I find it delightful.

With so many fantastic styles for the new Netherbrick, i am hoping you guys will join me in getting Zekey to finally post his work on www.minecraftcustomizer.net. It would give this pack more exposure and hopefully more recognition it so richly deserves.

Spent most of today on this when I should have been helping a friend with a cartoon.
Notcharino and Jebajonesy have whipped up a cool new update. Perhaps even cooler than the last update even. They have made the Nether, world's quietest Lovecraft simulator, into something somewhat more interesting! Woop!
SO HERE'S SOME VISUAL AID
First up we have these weird new adorable slime monsters whose bodies split into pieces when they jump.
They have a fiery core. And a pair of fiery eyes. And a fiery heart of black malice. And a uh er fiery soul.
Swamp biomes are now much swampier with green goopy water, and lillypads, and coolest of all, grotesque brown grass! Hooray! I used the same Lillypad I made for the wildgrass mod. Although it lost its yellowish stripes due to biome code. I hope he adds frogs. I WANT TO TAME SILVERFISH.
Oh hey its a big version of that slime from earlier. Slinky-ing his way towards my face. Before you ask, no this was not the winner of the Netherbrick contest. I was just testing the others for curiosity. You'll see the winner near the end.
I reskinned these asshole genie things. I dont know what they are but I can tell they are going to make surviving the Nether very close to impossible.
Not much I could do with these guys.
Gave em scarves.
And yes that is the winner of the Netherbrick contest. But I added a bit of color to it since the colorful bricks were 2nd place.
Mushroom biome and a mooshroom!
I hope they do more with this Biome because it is the coolest darn thing.
Caution: Mooshrooms may resemble tablecloths.
I redid chests again because my last design was uglier than a bucket of ****.
""
Every NPC has a different design. However they are also all Squidward.
Netherwart. It doesn't do anything yet but new plants + new animation = happy me.
And here is a picture of a Nether portal sitting on the Netherbrick with the winning texture. Now try not to party too hard. You remember what the landlord said last time.
Awesome TP ... its a shame that i found it just yet! 4 u!
I have no idea what you just said but I through careful reasoning I have deducted it's a question of sorts. The answer you are looking for is Thomas Haden Church. And yes I agree, he looks very good for his age and is a good actor!
Alrighty.
Now with that issue aside, I have two small announcements to make.
Announcement 1: f
Announcement 2: UPDATE
With 1.9.2 upon us, Notch and Jeb saw fit to shove in some items from the new alchemy system. Even though said items are completey unusable right now. They make my heart go pitter-pat nontheless.
Regardless, I have updated all their stuff for the pack.
- made the glass vial a bit fatter
- redid spider eye
- redid fermented spider eye
- redid the records. all of them. every single one.
- the creepy scary record is now a cassette tape
- redid magma cream. (it soothes in ways hemorrhoid cream cannot)
- redid blaze powder which I forgot to do last time
- fixed a small tiling issue with stone bricks
- did all the new inventory icons for skills (skills dont work yet obviously)
- did all the new menu items (that also do not work yet)
possibly in the future I might redo rain. It's doubtful but possible.
I would have just said the new items are completely useless right now.
Except the Spider eyes!
Those are always useful to have in any situation.
Well they aren't useless anymore! WHY?
Because THIS MOD takes Jeb's finished cauldron and potion code and makes it all work the way it would have if he and notch werent trying a different method entirely involving some sort of potion stand.
And since the Cauldron texture is already in vanilla Minecraft well....I just had to test it out.
Works like a charm:
SO, TODAY IS AN OPDAIT. I have retextured Cauldrons so you can use them with any Cauldron mods now (or whatever future use Notch and Jeb give them).
I also re-textured the top of melons a bit since they were off-center before.
BUT
MOST IMPORTANTLY
I have added in support for a great big new mod that is both big and great. CLICK THE PIC TO SEE THE MOD! OR THIS!
Or watch Gamechap are very funny in a very...strange way.
Regardless here's some images from the Twilight Forest mod using my texture pack:
Here is the latest Zeko build with Twilight Forest, Cauldrons, and BetterMelons.
Hi! I love your texture pack, but I suppose I should tell you I don't like what you've been adding as much lately.
Also, could you maybe add some alternative textures to the villagers?
Last version, like I said, was a temp job.
Here's the real deal:
The new enchantment menu. I greyed the colors a little bit. Made the item boxes a bit more prominent.
Fixed the page spells seeping into the blue border.
I changed the shadowy blobs that sat under bottles in the original texture into these little bunson burner hotplate looking things. You will never know how hard it was to get these to sit in the middle of their "rectangle" since that whole thing is one 16x16 texture that makes absolutely no sense.
Edited the potion menu a bit so you can actually see the text on the screen. Also gave it a small dose of SCIENCE.
Also as you can see the bunson burners are each a different color. WHY? Because, America.
I also edited the 'glow' on enchanted crap but you probably wont notice. But here's me holding a golden apple.
I also edited the new crystal block that takes you to the enderworld where endermen and dragons faff about. However, since I can't be bothered to try to find a stronghold or a single-player-command mod that will work with 1.9, you're just going to have to imagine how beautiful my version is.
Anyway. Go diggy diggy some holes with this new version of Zekocraft if you want.
Long ago in a distant land I promised a man named Qualjak that I would make a good alternate art file for my pack.
This was months ago and after some extreme foot-dragging I finally did it. Zekocraft now has alternate art. And not just that, high-definition alternate art.
Whereas the normal paintings file is about 256 pixels wide and tall, this is about 1024 I believe.
And the nice thing is you dont even need to patch your .jar in order to use these big things.
They work right off the bat.
Alot of these are new things. Some are things from the old alternate art file that I redid in higher resolution. Some of them are old things you probably havent seen.
The next version of zekocraft will have these as the default kz.png file with the original paintings renamed to kz_original.png
However I'm not gonna upload a whole new zip since I have the art file right in this post. I'll wait for pre-release 3 and the Enderdragons before I do that since I'm sure there will be a buttload of new stuff to edit by then.
Plus I figure if you're reading this you're already smart enough to know to save that art as kz.png and to sling it into the "art" folder of your minecraft.jar file.
I'm really happy you got around to making the Minecraft art, it was totally worth the wait! :smile.gif: These paintings are awesome, you should upload some of them onto your artician site. Now I have an actual reason to put up paintings. Although, I must say that I'm surprised you didn't put a self portrait of me up there, as I'm the finest looking dirt block out there.(totally kidding, these paintings are great :biggrin.gif:)
And as you can see those overpass looking things are made of Netherbrick.

How do I join you in this? :smile.gif:
^ These two. Slight preference for the colorful brick.
(ZEKEY, your pack is amazing, I cannot use anything else <3)

hahaha, no.
Alright 1.9.3.whatever is out with some new doodads and thingies.
I'm not 100% pleased with these new menus yet. I need to edit a few things.
So expect another update soon.
Anyway this is like a temporary update. Expect a few tweaks soon.
