dont quote me on that, but i think theres a mod for that! Notch sure wouldnt steal ideas from mods without asking and crediting them, he said so himself
Well he did kind of steal the entire idea of wildgrass, which is also "that mod" with the vines and biome specific flowers and stuff.
Btw I orgasm a bit every time I look at this pack. It's so amazingly awesome and original :3
You should think about supporting WildCaves... if he plans on updating it. I'm using a 1.5 mc myself.
You should think about making the stalagmites into hanging vines and the stalactites into like mushroom/ moss patches. It would give more life to caves.
Also, the BiomePack is a pretty awesome mod as well. Makes water, stone, sandstone, gravel, and sand all have a biome color like grass, and you can toggle them on/off.

I've been wanting to actually.
I have a small laundry list of mods I want to add support for in the future.
Wildcaves The allocator Hot air balloons Airship steamcraft
maybe mo' creatures but I doubt it. editing the default mobs was a ****ing nightmare due to how noisy the textures are.The zekocraft cow still has something wrong with one of it's sides but I can't be bothered to fix it. I lay awake at night sometimes, weeping over the memories of editing those animals.

This is actually brilliant and it's a shame its out of date.
I've always always always wished more things followed a biome triange.
Dirt in snow biomes should look more grey. Dirt in deserts should be much more yellow due to all the sand in the soil. Dirt in rainforests should be black, greenish in swamps, light brown in grasslands, etc etc.
That mod doesnt seem to change dirt but it does change alot of other things that look nice when following a biome color scheme. Too bad it's not updated for 1.6 quite yet.
But I will totally support that mod as soon as I can. That's actually something I suggested once ages ago when grass got biome colors. I am glad someone else had a similar idea.
Right now I'm busy as hell making a cartoon about crabs so who knows when I'll ever get the chance to do any of this kerfuffle.

Holy [email protected]! I loved that game so much! Didn't even realize it was supposed to be scary, but regardless the atmosphere for that game was excellent. I spent a long time trying to find replayability in that game because I didn't want it to end. I hope the sequel is longer or has more replayability. Thanks for telling me man, now I'm really looking forward to that!
Your friendly neighborhood Kingpin here...
Sorry for not posting in a while (here and my thered), as its been a nightmare these past few weeks. Id like to throw my vote in for the BiomePack mod support. Zekeys color theory knowledge would do wonders for those triangles.
But i have never been able to get the water to work on BiomePack, and that is the most important feature imo. Did he ever get that bug fixed?
sorry about the lack of updates guys.
i've been balancing between trying to stay alive (i've been very VERY sick for a couple of weeks but i'm almost better now), and trying to finish an animation about crabs, while also helping my friend move to Boston. From florida.
Also I've become strangely addicted to a game called "Spiral Knights"
Anyway, long sad story short, I'll probably do a major update to this pack in a few days when all my work is done.
I have returned.
I am healthy now (I think) and feeling less like ****. AND SO, considering Notch updated the game recently and we have a real update coming soon with a whole new gameplay mode (ruins? npc's? be still my heart. its finally finally happening)I feel it's time I updated my pack.
1.7
The dawn of the piston.
Well more like the midday since pistons have been around for a bit. BUT ANYWAY.
- redesigned pistons (using parts of the original piston mod textures)
- made shears look like clippers now. as opposed to some sort of tweezers with teeth.
- added mod support for Hot Air Balloonsand Nandonalts biome pack.
- made the silverfish mob a bit more colorful even though we dont even know for sure what its going to look like yet
- made the yellow bit in the grass texture a tiny bit brighter
- got my hair cut
Anyway here's some pictures of the pistons
Here's some pistons pushing air
and here's an electric piano thing my friends made with pistons
and here is shears
and here is a horse
At least you didn't stick an obnoxious Reddit "le" somewhere in there.
And I haven't forgotten. It has been on my mind to do it.
Actually that will be the next thing I do. Since I am, currently, free of any responsibilities. Even went to go see SUPER8 today. Pretty good.
and just so this bump isn't pointless:
here's a random smp picture
-snip-
and here's a weebl and bob episode I animated for my boss, weebl
(its about minecraft, seriously)
-snap-
Looking forward to that! I like the Weebl and Bob episode. Some people consider Minecraft to be all about the videos. I've been victim to that, as I watch tons Minecraft videos and have even made some before. In fact, I have probably spent more time watching Minecraft videos than playing the game itself. Unless you include pointless time wasted goofing off in SMP.
and just so my bump isn't pointless either:
here's a huge picture of my head (ignore the critters on my scalp, I forgot to bathe. Besides their worship of the rose gives me special magical powers)
and here's le unseen half-life 2: episode 3 footage
Zekey, personally, one of my favorite things about this pack is how ****ing colorful everything is, namely the biome grass and leaf colors. Have you ever thought of extending the coloration of those two biome colors to blue-ish colors in ice/snow biomes? That would definitely increase the vibrancy.

Did you play Terraria? :tongue.gif:
