UPDATE NOTES
- made the side of sandstone have a slightly different design than the top and bottom. Just for artistic porpoises.
- stone hoe is now a sickle
- iron hoe is now a badass scythe
- redrew bone meal
- redrew rose red dye
- redrew dandelion yellow dye
- redrew cactus green
- redrew cocoa beans since I guess we will be growing them soon (yay more plants)
- nerfed the pyro for no reason
- recolored rain and rain splatters to be more teal to fit in with the rest of the pack
- darkened the crafting table ever so slightly
- make the half-stone block look a bit cleaner and more man-made
- redstone torches now animate when turned on and off. Mainly for making it easier to tell what's doing what.
- darkened the gui's bottom-most layer so it'd a bit more visible. still unsure if I want to redo the whole thing or not.
- added new block-breaking animation. It's supposed to look like shattering glass. I've ambivalent on it currently.
- UPDATED WILDGRASS. I have no pictures so if someone could take some that'd be great. Added biome roses for jungle and desert. Added new lillypad flowers, new grass. Added vines. Thank you LostKingpin for explaining them to me.
- removed Meta-Inf from my zip because I guess I am some sort of dunce to leave it in there. That's probably why no mods worked for me. Herp derpity derp.
- Sheep's eyes are now on the sides of their heads and their snouts have been moved up. Basically they actually look like sheep now. They also kind of look like now. THAT'S A GOOD THING maybe. Oh David Lynch, you so crazy!
- Sheep's fluff is now 50% fluffier as you will see in the pictures coming up
- edited Birch tree a bark a tiny bit more. It is now finally perfect.

- the moon is now a painting I did of the grumpy moon face from which you should totally watch. You should also watch Metropolis. No, not the anime one. Although it is good, too.

Also I can finally show off something I did for Mojang, the people who actually make this game. Some time ago I did a fanart piece that got out-of-control popular and later the staff contacted me to make them a wider version they could use as wallpaper in their office.
So of course I said yes, this game, killing floor, and team fortress 2 have been my favorite games for quite some time and I would be a fool to deny such an opportunity to have my art featured at a studio I love.
So anyway here's some pics of their office in Sweden:
You can imagine I'm pretty happy about all this and tell me how you feel about the pack update. I'm totally not changing sheep again, though.

And i was hoping to see the 'tribal GUI" , but the new one is easier to see. Sheep and sandstone look awesome as well as the updated items.
There is a problem with the flowing water. Been meaning to bring this up since last update. Flowing water does not flow, it still has the shimmer effect of still water. Here is an example but the pic is not as good as seeing it.
Hey man, this texture pack be pimpin'. Probably my favorite one up to date. This cartoon-y style has a bunch of character and a defined feel that I gotta love. The grass looks excellent, and the UI and art is the best I've seen in a texture pack ever. I really love the log-in screen. I'd compare this texture pack to something like Frenden's, but as an artist you don't deserve a comparison when your texture pack is an original work of art.
But alas, there's more than only positive feedback to be seen, sadly. It's all going to be constructive criticism though, because I have no reason to give it otherwise. So, here it goes... *inhales heavily* the stone slabs look too metallic, the cobblestone is too bright of a color as it should be darker than the smoothstone, the sand looks too cushion-y and fluffy, an alternative flower option should be available for those wanting just a single flower, the doors are cool looking but they look kind of steampunkish, the mobs still need working on, the chests and the railroad tracks need a browner tint of orange, epic paintings pl0x, the smokes alright but its full potential hasn't been tapped, and the breaking animation is nice looking for a realistic texture pack but doesn't suit the feel of this one. Phew! *wipes sweat off brow* That's just how I feel, but I'm sure there's people out there who disagree with me. If any of that feels like its just part of the charm and personality of the pack then feel free not to change it.
Off-topic! I think I pee'd myself a little when you said Killing Floor, Team Fortress 2, and Minecraft were your favorite games. That would be my pick right now as those are what I'm playing the most at the moment. The Killing Floor gun-play is so beautiful, TF2 is fantastic, and Minecraft is the best sandbox game evar. By the by, I lol'd when you said one if the updates was nerfing the pyro for no reason. I was super-dooper upset when one of the update notes was removing damage and replacing with random crits... especially the powerjack...

I am actually aware of this and have been trying my darndest to ignore it. So far I have been successful ignoring this issue entirely. Even when my mob trap which is a whirlpool of waterfalls that barely move, I have managed to hold my head high above the sea of "this doesn't look quite right".

The short answer is: I'm not really sure how to solve it. My water is rather....different than most animated water in that by some blessed accident it has alot of **** moving at once on it's surface. Lots of little dark waves and the one bright "wiggly" wave that gives the water it's striped look. It's a nice effect that happened pretty much by mistake.
I have thought about ways to solve this issue without completely breaking water and the solutions I have come up with but haven't tried yet (i dont want to lose my trophy its good for holding soup) are as thus:
a.) I completely redo water and do two versions (never gonna happen)
b.) I rotate each frame of flowing water 90 degrees to the left or right. Making it so the "stripes" now flow/wiggle in the direction that the water is flowing. This will however also make flowing water look completely perpendicular to still water. (depending on how it looks this is likely what I will end up using if its not hideous).
c.) I remove every other frame of flowing water, making it animate twice as fast. Allowing it to subtly look different to still water. However it might be so subtle that it's unnoticeable. (something else I need to test eventually. also a likely solution.)
d.) I take the current still water animation frames and make them wiggle around EVEN HARDER, I'm talking EXTREME WIGGLING, so they look different when water flows but also doesn't break the art style water has. (not as much anyway. this would be the first and easiest thing to try but also the least likely to work properly)
e.) I attempt to add more little waves that flow over the 16px tiles. However this will require me adding lots of frame-by-frame animation which would be way too much work and most likely wouldn't loop right.
Oddly, much like water, still and flowing lava also have the same animation but I don't think it's as noticeable with lava because it moves alot faster than water due to having less frames of animation.

Don't even get me started. Pyro and spy are the easiest classes to kill in the game, in comp AND in pubs, and they keep nerfing the pyro for some reason. Both classes need a buff to their mobility. Backburner + airblast + critflares =/= fixing the class. Spy needs to have quieter default cloak. If I have headphones on I can hear a spy decloak from halfway across the map, no matter what watch he has on. That's ********.

Basically, earlier on this thread he posted his old alpha texture pack because it was similar to mine and we were comparing them. I noticed in his pack large chunks of his grass were orange and red and I wanted in on that.
He generously posted his biome triangle and I saw how he got the effect. So I did something similar to my grass, though not quite as colorful.
I decided to add alot of small gradients with a 'render clouds' sort of pattern to my grass biome.
Trees don't have to worry as much about 'fitting in' next to each other so I simply took the paintbrush tool in my art software and dabbed on some blobs of color. If you look at the tree biome triangle in my zip it actually sort of looks like a splatter painting. Red, orange, yellow, and blue and teal trees.
The effect with editing the grass biome colors looks even nicer if you use the BetterGrass mod.
