While recently playing the game LSD: The Dream, I found it an interesting concept to convert some of the games textures over to a basic Mine craft texture pack. Technically, I should be using a high res texture for this project, but it doesn't preserve any of Mine craft's original Pixel style.
So far, I have about 3 of the textures worked out, dirt, sand, and gravel.
I have been miniaturising extracts of the games actual artwork, and adding touch ups to make it look nice.
Screenshot of progress so far:
deeper layers will have more or the creepy japanese symbol textures found in the game.
Progress will be updated every week or so, as I have little free time to work at it, so I plan on changing 5-10 textures a week until I have everything worked out.
Freaky.. Just yesterday i heard of this game on the PSX in the playstation store. And now you have the pack.
AWESOME!
Now i gotta say, some people would look down on this pack if they never heard of this game. Either way, It's fans would absolutley love it! I'll totally download this!

the Ninja on my Avatar will dance to any song you play, in beat. Go on, try it.
What you REALLY need to do is:
1. make one of the tiles (i.e. sand, grass, snow, etc.) make that high pitched squeaky noise when you walk on it
2. Add mobs such as the gray/shadow man, the giant monster, the sailor, etc.
3. make some areas like symbols randomly generate (sort of like paintings already randomly placed throughout the map) that when you bump into one, it teleports you somewhere totally random in the map (yes, even into solid rock)
Wouldn't it make more sense dirt and stone... you know, dirt, grass, and sand... you know, as it exists in the game? There are deserts and other locations full of sand, cliffsides of dirt, and grass on top of those cliffside, along with grassy plains. I think these textures would fit better for wool, namely red, cyan, and green wool. Besides that, that texture you have for grass doesn't sound like grass when you step on it, though I looked back at the let's plays that led me to search for this with minecraft in google and couldn't find what it is when everything has "normal" textures. Don't forget that natural stone would make great concrete in the cities, too! ^^
