Blockman DASH was originally envisioned and designed by wild8900 using Doku's famous RPG texture pack as a base. I claim none of his work nor any work done by the original project team as my own. A full list of credits can be found in the texture pack readme.
This thread was created for the following two reasons: the texture pack has finally reached completion (not counting future content of course), and the original thread was started by the original project lead -- once the project died and I took the helm, I was unable to post updates in the initial post, leaving many people confused as to where the most recent version was. By starting a new thread, I will be able to provide easily accessible updates.
Blockman DASH is a complete visual overhaul of Minecraft intended to bring the look and feel of the cult classic game series MegaMan Legends into Minecraft's sandbox world.
Among the many, many changes that you will notice is that almost every mob has been turned into some kind of Reaverbot, and most of their drops have been changed to suit their new metallic exoskeletons.
Other familiar items have also been futuristically altered.
Bow => Mega Buster
Sword => Blade Arm
Pickaxe => Drill Arm
Shovel => Excavation Arm
Axe => Plasma Cutter
Hoe => Plasma Scythe
Flint => Energy Cell
Flint and Steel => Lighter
Dyes => Lipstick (for the talentless painter in all of us!)
Most minerals => Refractors
Redstone => Reaverbot Eye
...and so much more
REMEMBER TO USE THE MCPATCHER HD TEXTURE FIX; TEXTURES GREATER THAN THE DEFAULT 16x16 PIXELS WILL NOT DISPLAY PROPERLY UNLESS MCPATCHER HAS BEEN USED FIRST.
Hey Cleveland. Sprites Inc.'s database is HORRIBLY incomplete when it comes to Legends textures (although I've scrounged quite a bit from their site), and the sounds from MML1... well let's just say Legends 2 has a generally more impressive sound library that I'd greatly prefer using. Specifically what I'm looking for from the various games:
[*:1qluf2im]A complete texture rip of the Flutter, inside and out, from both Legends 1 and 2 (this includes EVERYTHING on the inside)
[*:1qluf2im]All Reaverbot textures (you can omit the ones already on Sprites Inc. if you like)
[*:1qluf2im]The pig texture from Legends 2 (must...make...pigs...kickable...)
[*:1qluf2im]A collection of sound effects from Legends 2 (Calinca's ice breaking, footsteps, kicking, buster shots, Reaverbot noises, Reaverbot alert tone, impact/damage, etc.)

Doors will NOT get windows in them because Legends doors don't have those.
Anyways, I was going to suggest some guys from Sprites INC. who could help by ripping the sounds, not to mention Half the rips in the forums I don't think were uploaded YET. I know that place well and could most likely support you there more than you believe, as well as even getting some experienced rippers to get back to working, just to help you out. I was already considering asking some people from their forum to help out but figured Mega Man Network would probably be a good place to start enlisting support (fanbase, y'know). However, I know there's some guys on Sprites Inc. (Metalman in particular) who are already working on Legends rips, and if you can persuade any of them to contribute and/or simply upload what they've already got, I'd appreciate it.
Actually I only just signed up on Sprites Inc. a couple nights ago and haven't actually done anything on their forum yet; as I said, I went to Mega Man Network first. I've got so many forum accounts in so many places that I'd prefer not to have to manage another one. If you can mobilize a task force from Sprites Inc., by all means please go ahead; obviously you know them better than I do.
I'm planning to try taking the last picture on the first post in the OTHER forum and resizing everything, then repositioning them to make a classic texture. I don't think I will get done anytime soon though, seeing as this is my first time editing. I plan to use that picture because it has the sides to some blocks that don't have sides in beta but still do in classic. I'll probly fuse in the modern stuff also.

Well, right now, all I've done is presented this to my general public. I'm sure lots of our (about 9) minecraft players will love that texture pack. I've got some guys I intend to contact, but that's more difficult.

Im having trouble with this pack. The patcher gives me a white screen and, although it isnt too big of an issue, bricks, portals, netherrack, and liquids dont wokr for me. Water/lava doesnt flow, Netherrack shows up as the default water, portals show up weird, and bricks show up as fire, rock, default portal and between them its transparant. Help?
I've had the exact same problem. Basically this means it didn't patch properly.
Try again, and remember to follow their guide, and make sure to click this patch, not to mention setting it to 32x32!
(I am 100% sure of those words as I had the exact same problem because I didn't patch at ALL, so that means your patching failed completely.)

Anyway, this pack is great. Probably wont use it as often as i use my Zelda one, but still. Great.
EDIT: Can i make a request? Make the boat have the Bonne symbol thing and make the minecraft the boat skin. That'd be awesome. Or you could tell me how to do it, as im not familer with non-char skins,much less HD stuff. :tongue.gif:
