ok just a quick question im currently using misa's texture pack as i love many many things about it there a few major blocks that i love to use that i dislike about her pack ex. obsidian is purple instead of black and the wood is a funny shade basically im wondering if there is a way i can use some textures from a differnt pack say painterly pack to replace the things about misa's i do not enjoy
ive tried searching the forum with no result if there is a tutorial on how to do this if u can kindly point me in the right direction id appreciate it ty
1. Open the file called terrain.png with a program that supports transparency (like photoshop, paint.net, GIMP etc). This file contains the base tileset for the game.
2. Open the terrain.png of the pack you want to use textures from.
3. Swap/replace the textures you like. Have in mind that your alternate textures must be in the same resolution for it to work. If you want to add in textures from a pack with a different resolution, you have to upscale/downscale the terrain.png until it matches the original in resolution.
4. Save your new terrain.png. Put it into your minecraft.jar.
