Updated for 1.8. Trying like hell to figure out something to do with the exp bar, but it's only 5 pixels wide, making it a bit of a challenge. I'm sure 1.9 will be here in no time, and I'll be updating again anyway. XD Enjoy!

By a strange coincidence, I was just updating it last night. XD Not only is it updated for 1.1, I updated it to snapshot 12w06a, so it will work on anything before that, including the current official release. Not 100% current, but it includes jungle biomes and such. Also added phase-changing moons (though not seperately changing as MC doesn't have that.) I'm curious to hear more about your project. As far as using this texture pack, it's free to the world, so go for it, just drop my name in there somewhere.

Love the new textures in v1.2a, and pardon if i ask, but do you plan on replacing the enemy and npc textures in the future? Just curious, considering would be super neat having more Ultima themed enemies and such, now when people can make proper dungeons/buildings with controlled traps/hidden doors and enemy spawning mechanisms for the maps and such.
So would really add to the feel when used with some rpg themed custom maps.
Yeah, still alive, just distracted by other games. I've thought about reskinning the mobs, but have yet to figure out how I want to approach it. How would I make an Ultima-esqe creeper? Or even a cow, or a pig? (Interesting fact: Sosaria was completely swineless until Serpent's Isle) I'm also unsure what to do with the villagers...mostly because I just plain hate them. So it is something I've considdered, just haven't decided how to tackle it yet. I probably will eventually however.
And I do agree the npc villagers looks derpy as hell with Squidward look and big nose, so wont be easy to improve texture-vise with a more normal look when they got a big block in their face.
Maybe you could start out simply by editing them and just use any existing look-alike colors form Ultima 6
Shouldn't really need to edit the squids, not sure which pack it is I've used up until now, I believe Painterly, but they have villagers without squids nose.
Surely you could start with a basic Steve skin, re-texture it and name the file to replace the existing villager??

I know next to nothing about programming and wonder what it takes to add a mob
Could we copy the spiders texture paste that into a new file, eg; Gazer.png
Copy a spider's code (hit-box, hostility) and somehow add this to the .jar.
I know it wouldn't look this simple but I've used MCP and didn't have much of an idea of what I was looking at so this is easiest way for me to explain.. just take this text and pretend its in code

Yeah, if you leave the texture out for certain things, (like noses) it just won't draw them. (works with pigs' noses too...if noseless pigs are your thing.) It still won't fix their giant elongated heads, or perma-crossed arms, but it'll be a start. Also just updated AGAIN! Had to get the new redstone lamps and other new blocks added in. Also, lots of stuff I just hadn't done yet, like plants. Also slapped in an Ultima 6 inspired logo for the fun of it. ("slapped in" like I didn't just spend 3 hours with it) Might need a little more work though. Hope you enjoy!

That's unfortunately beyond the scope of a texture pack. I'm basically just throwing a new paintjob on the game, I can't change anything within it. I personally just play MP3s of Stones in the background while playing. XD http://www.joxter.net/
Looks like Media Fire hates you Zephaniah, states that the file is "Invalid or Deleted File"
See if you could use Dropbox I heard that was a good site to use, not sure how there file keeping thing is or how long it lasts.

Sorry about the stupidly long delay there. I had been working on this, but there was constantly one more thing I wanted to do before posting. Thank for hanging in there and for the prodding! XD I'll make sure the next update for the Halloween release isn't as late in coming! A bunch of stuff has been changed and updated here as I slide uot of the native textures even more. Considdering doing something with the mobs for next time, but still not sure I want to mess with recognisable icons, such as they are.
Updated with new textures for all the new items in the game. Also went back and redid caldrons, leaves, glass (removed horizontal crossbar so it's easier to see through, but left vertical bar to look good with glass pane corners), monster spawners, and a handful of other things.
For those familiar with Ultima 6, I've started pulling more heavily from Martian Dreams, and Savage Empire for a more diverse look, and to get ideas on things that simply weren't in the original Ultima 6.
The mediafire link is outdated.
Instead of v1.4 it's v1.2c.
The error seems to have been with Mediafire. I tried it a few different ways and got the same problem. I even deleted the old file it was misdirrecting to and it STILL gave an error. Guessing it's something that just started recently as the correct file had been downloaded several times before today. If anyone knows a better file host, I'm taking suggestions.
I tested it now and this seems to work. Sorry about that.
