-Added some new Mario-ish mob textures



About:

A texture pack i made, based of one of the greatest game series in the universe!

There's probably lots of Mario texture packs out there, but most of the ones i've seen out there have only some few textured blocks, unfinished, etc.

Mine however, is supposed to be an 100% re-textured Mario-ish texture pack, with textures from SMB1 to SMW. I've already come a long way with it, and think it's time to release it for everyone to enjoy it!

You might notice that it's overwritten on the Painterly texture pack, but i'm gonna try to remove those textures as soon as possible, and i claim no ownership over those textures.

However, the texture pack is not yet finished and there's still blocks and items to retexture. Some textures might look a little edgy and not-so top Notch, (Pun intended! :iapprove:) but it's still in development and i'm working on it!

The block resolutions are 16x16

And now for some previews of the texture pack. (Hooray!)

This is pretty awesome!
I was thinking of doing something similar.

Idea: make the netherrack look like the stone in a castle - so the nether is a giant castle.

I'm trying to make the blocks as recognisable to the original ones, so i dunno about this.. but thanks for the suggestion, anyways!

Also, might turn the :Zombie:'s into koopas in the future! :biggrin.gif:

I like it! Some ideas: make pigs Yoshis, chickens Goombas, and the squids and ghasts Sniffits (make their tentacles transparent).

Bloopers instead of squids sounds better. I'll try to add some of those ideas in the next update!

I think painterly has an option for blooper squids. Painterly sucks, make bloopers!

-Squid (Blooper.)
-Zombie (Koopa, not made by me.)
-Zombie pigmen ( Bowser, not made by me either.)
-Chicken (Yoshi, because they both lay eggs!)

Ah, yes I forgot about Blooper. I suggested Pigs as Yoshi, because you can ride them... But there is a Ride Anything mod out there if I really wanted to ride chickens. Lookin good so far!

I dunno, I played around with this and the chicken-yoshi's just don't look right. Yoshi doesn't have wings or webbed feet...

I had a mario texture pack that had a really good chicken yoshi. But ehh its your texture so do what you want with it :biggrin.gif:

Actually, I was thinking of a Koopa as a pig, but then again, turtles don't oink. It'd possibly be for the better to turn the pigs into adult Yoshis since, after all, you could ride Yoshi in Super Mario World, and you can ride pigs in Minecraft. /captainobvious Also, judging from what was given in the video, it looks nice. Looking forward to download it.

I once had the idea of doing a Super Mario Bros. styled texture pack, but due to the fact that I suck making texture packs, I had almost no choice but to give up on the project, or release a crappy texture pack. It's pretty obvious what option I chose.

You should make pigs and chickens both yoshis, and recolor the saddle red. Make sure to color the egg like a yoshi egg!

I've already turned the eggs into Yoshi eggs.

Also, instead of pigs being yoshies too, what about if i turn them into poochies from Yoshi's Island?

This is great. I just wanna say I found a problem with the bed texture, there's no picture in the inventory at all, hopefully that will be fixed next update.

Also you should put this pack in PlanetMinecraft and on the main list!

EDIT: 1.5_1 came out hopefully it'll work for that too.

I think zombies or skeletons should be hammer bros and spiders should be gombas

then who will know that to get bacon u have to kill yoshi? in fact, who would want to kill yoshi?
