what is a mob map?
the mob map is each componant of the mob, the leg, the body the side, the face... i have split them all up, so can easily be edited. they are in Psd format (photoshop),
how to edit
un-zip the file, then open one of the templates. on the layers bar, open the folder, and edit.
after editing, highlight all the layers (press ctrl and click each one,) make sure they are all visable and click merge visable. save as a png
the default resolution is 64x64, but if you want to use it on a lower resolution, open the normal texture, copy they layer you wish to edit (e.ge face) paste the layer to the texture of the mob u just opened, then trasform (Ctrl+T) hold shift, and scale down to the size of thing it is,( so scale the big face so it fits perfectly on the small face)
uhh, does it work? if you separated the textures, when u put them back in, the coding will select the pixels in the spot it's supposed to, meaning if all the pixels aren't in their original spots it will use the transparency...

yea,
thats why you need to merge the visable layers, this will flatten what you can see, making it into one layer. the pixels are in the orginal spots, they are just cut out. so the right side of the leg, is cut out, and it is put in the right place.
so long as you dont move any layers it will work.
p.s i use a lot of clipping layers, so thats why i say to use merge visable, if you simply flatten image the image of clipping mask will show too.
