So normally I do modern houses with weird shapes and designs. But I felt like doing something different; taking advantage of that water shader that was shared a few pages back.

If anyone knows how to make the video less jumpy, let me know. I should have enough ram and stuff. Maybe I need a second hard drive? :\

This may not help at all, but one of the things that can mess with a video like that is having different frame rates. If your recording software is recording at one frame rate (say 30 fps) and your video editor is rendering at another (say 24) it will cause the film to be jumpy because the render is attempting to cram all those frames together. (It actually tends to cut frames out.)
Of course this would only happen if you are using video editing software. :biggrin.gif:

Mhm. I think it's FRAPs though and it's performance. Cause it's the jump in frames during gameplay. I know FRAPs is a hog but other people manage to use it. :sad.gif: lol
Yeah, fraps is a hog (thats what I use as well.) You could try recording a lower resolution. Another thing that helps me is using optifine. Sadly it conflicts with most any other graphic mod out there.

The resolution is probably it. Since i run at 1080 so that's what MC is at. Hmm I'll have to test.
It's significant, I think. Minecraft has always been inconsistent for me, heh. Though it doesn't render it unplayable like those cartoony shaders I messed around with did. Lowest I've seen is 55 when looking at a bunch of dirt and trees and what not. I dunno, it goes up and down, lol.
Hopefully that's useful. It's easy enough to install and compare.
If you're referring to fraps for the FPS cut, unfortunately it does cut FPS by quite a bit in most games, though if you're running a decent computer and don't have many Mods or a high res texture pack (take the lovely jolicraft, for example) Minecraft can usually run at about 80-100 FPS, so cutting that in half doesn't make any difference you can actually see.
The problem will come in if you're running a low end PC or running a tonne of mods.
Fraps can't compress while recording, and I don't know of a recording program that does either, so if you're thinking of using it and recording in fullsize for best quality, be prepared for GB's of uncompressed video!
HA! Thats true. I recorded 40 mins of L4D2 the other day at 1280x720 and it took up 80 GBs. That's why I record to my external :biggrin.gif:.
As for the fps cut I was asking about the water shader, which I will most likely not end up using. If it were compatible with optifine maybe...

Bit of height showing its upside~ness
Little more of chimney entrance with smoke pathway
Was just trying out the Alpha V2 of the mod (water alpha shader), still lots to do on it but it's looking good at this stage.

I'll start on mine a little later. Just woke up and i can't focus on anything lmao.
And it feels like will never end. haha

Seems to cut it in about half for me. :sad.gif:
Indeed, and that would be me.
Alot more work to it to help the fps and will be a great mod
