Really love the texture pack. Just one complaint is wheat is a little hard to tell if it's done growing. So maybe change that a little. But on the whole it's really cool and looks great.
Love your art, love your texture pack, hell, even love the way you set out your thread :smile.gif:
Would have loved to enter your contest, but I was unluckily busy all week.
Would love to see you push it further and make something really surreal!
Now go and make your shop :biggrin.gif:
Well, if you want a customizer you'd need someone good in HTML or PhP coding.
You would also have to create endless amounts of packs to suit each checked box.
I'm not good in HTML or PhP, so I can't really help you on that.
I am decent in visual studio and may be able to come up with something.
Once again, the problem rests that you would need to make countless packs and upload them to a file-hosting site as well.
But if your willing to do that I could help you in making a program that you can select your options and then automatically download the texture.
And before you ask, yes about anyone that's somewhat skilled in Visual Studio can do this. It's not a hard project, but it is a long one.
Thanks for taking your time to read this and thanks for providing this wonderful texture pack for everyone to enjoy.
Noice! I'm impressed (and a bit envious) with the skill and vision of the winners. I wasn't surprised at all that Domino won, all his entries were amazing.
Well it was a tough decision here, so I had to bring in a panel of experts to help me make this tough call.
The Winners:
If you won, please contact me with your address and your print choice (via email or sitemail). First place wins 3 prints, second place wins 2 prints, and third place wins 1 print. You may select which prints you want from the photo of the prizes in my post. Shipping Included! Without further adieu, the winners are:
1st place: Domino!
We just couldn't come up with enough nice stuff to say about this entry. I know I asked for minimal photoshopping but that was mostly just to frighten people way from relying on photoshop. This is a perfect execution of a great concept, with a wonderful composition that helps tell the story and set the mood of the scene. That, plus the attention to detail and the skill in which it was executed, set this piece apart from all of Domino's great entries. This is a well deserved first place contestant.
2nd place: ScottJ10!
All of ScottJ10's entries were fantastic, but we felt this one stood out for no reason other than it's execution as a landscape. We love the composition, the colours, the subtle post processing effects, and most importantly this scene really showcases Jolicraft's best side. Long story short, it's majestic, and we like majestic.
3rd place: Benten2000!
Another instance of us having to decide between 3 great entries. We loved them all, but we felt this one really shines as a piece of construction, as a showcase of Jolicraft, and as an exercise in composition. We forgive you for the somewhat overzealous shadowbox effect around the edge because we secretly think it looks great, and that plus the bright vibrant central colours really focus your attention on the details in the middle (which are also wonderful).
Runners Up:
There are several runners up, but you'll have to check here to see the entire gallery: www.jolicraft.com/contest.html
The prize for being a runner up is a free print, but you'd have to pay shipping. See the above page for more info.
Thanks!
Thanks to all who entered! I'm looking back on all the ****ing awesome entries and I can't believe how much quality stuff came through this thread these past weeks. It makes me wish I was rich and could just send out tons of more prizes. Ah well, maybe I'll be able to afford a different kind of contest sometime down the road. At least we had fun though huh. This was fun, right?
Congratulations to all the winners, including the runner-ups, and well done especially to Domino. :smile.gif: I can see why the contest would have been hard to judge, honestly. :biggrin.gif:
woohoo! looks like i'm a runner-up! congrats to all those that one (and good hard work everybody). feels nice to see who won got runner-up as well. i like all the submissions :smile.gif:
