Anyone know what the 3 textures to the right of the break animation are?
And can someone explain what the new items are? I see they've added a new meat, is this from cows? And there are 2 items to the right of the map that I can't figure out.
And have they released the gui elements for editing yet?

Those 3 textures on the bottom right are the town borders. Jeb said they probably won't be in-game in 1.8 at least.
Here is his description of the terrain and items.png:
New in terrain.png:
Smooth stone brick + cracked and mossy variants
Vines
Melon
Melon/Pumpkin stalk (unconnected + connected)
Thin glass upper edge
Mushroom textures
City borders (will probably not be used)
Iron bars
New in items.png:
Bow bending states
Melon
Cooked porkchop
Raw beef
Raw and cooked chicken
Melon seeds
Pumpkin seeds
Rotten flesh
The two things beside the map are the pumkin and watermelon seeds, I'd guess the lighter are watermelon, the darker, pumpkin. About the three things next to the breaking animation, I'm sure the one that looks like blocky feet is well, blocky feet, an effect from running? And the one that looks like a long bit with a curve is the town borders, the other one, I don't know.
The pumpkin seeds are the lighter ones, and the darker seeds are watermelon.

the raw pork is the same texture, and the lighter raw meat is from cows. The red cooked meat is the new cooked pork, and the old cooked pork is now cooked beef.
Edit:
There is a new explosion effect, you can see it in .
I don't understand the ivy textures. Is this a plant that grows? Why is there a single upright texture and a bent version, in addition to the tiled version? Someone explain plx.
Also, what's the texture right beside the lava? The one next to the bent town border. Anyone know if this has something to to with city borders too?
This is why I hate doing textures before they're ready to test. I draw something, and I have to WAIT to see how it looks? Screw that! :tongue.gif:

Those aren't the ivy textures, but the pumpkin and melon stalks (the single vine looking thing -- one straight, one bent). The vines are directly below the curved one, where there's 2 vines in the texture.
I think the texture to the right of the bent town border is just blank, he just made it white instead of pink for some reason is my guess.

I'd love to know how the watermelon stalks work, how they look when they're grown and connected to a watermelon. Anyone know of any screenshots/vids that show this?
I like the idea of more contrast with the biome grass (like you say though, it's a matter of getting the transition right). One thing: the tundra/snowy biome grasses could really do with being more brown or ochre, or just generally a little duller. As they are, the vivid green you uncover under snow is just too lush and vibrant looking, as I see it. I'd expect a kind of mossy permafrost beneath snow and on cold biomes. It looks a little 'warm' right now.
Yes, this is something I've been wanting to do for a while. The new biomes should look much better.
I really want to use the aether textures you made but when I try to copy them into the main texture pack (as I assume is intended), it keeps giving me some illegal action garbage. How do I integrate the aether and over world textures to work in tandem?
Edit: Nevermind...it seems to be working now. I went and updated to 3.8 version in the customizer and it is all fine :smile.gif:

Jeb says "The explosion is 4x4 frames of 32x32 in a 128x128 png, animated from upper left to lower right"
Good idea. I tried that when I first started making Jolicraft and I didn't like the result. I guess it's time to give it another go.
Awesome infos, ty!

grrr i was just about to say that :tongue.gif:
I'm guessing particles that float up from the town's border.

Notch posted that on twitter. I'm guessing that is the endermen texture
Yay. I butchered the image with filters. :biggrin.gif:
