Did you know that jolicraft is available on minecraftcustomizer.net? You can mix and match my pack with tools you like from other packs. I'm also hoping to have an alternate set of tools at some point.
One of the greatest texture packs I ever seen. It got almost everything right and you realy deserves the title as a very talent texture pack-creater. Keep this good stuff on. :smile.gif:
Yeah I've been rather absent from anything other than packing, Minecraft included. I'll be taking my computer down tomorrow and won't be setup again til the following sunday, I'll try to come up with something fun to fill the void.
Please, make better custom animated water(lava, fire and portal would be awesome too) and change particles to 16p(i personaly hate when in 16p texture pack there some hi res stuff) and it will be the best texture pack evar!

Firstly, you have obviously put forth absolutely no effort to look at the alternative textures for the mobs, as there is a perfectly "actual" chicken texture in there.
Secondly, the Jolicraft water and lava look perfect alongside the terrain the Andre has so lovingly created for this community.
Thirdly, if you are going to offer up your opinion to the creator of a texture pack, or a map or schematic, don't do so in such a condescending manner.
It makes you come off as a bit of a *****.

I'm offering nothing, sry for expressing my own opinion. I have tons of texture pack that i like, but i'm not bitching about all of them, when someone dont like them, cos you know, people are different.

I havn't really messed around with the pack too much, but I can tell you that the water animation is a bit more complex than just two frames. The fade in/out needs to be done frame by frame in minecraft. His water animation is a stylistic choice I imagine. Knowing how the custom animations are handled with the shitty Minecraft coding, I was actually rather impressed with the water animation. The kind of smooth change is difficult to achieve.

The Jolicraft water and Lava textures are fine. It's hard making those animations, and they complement Jolicraft's colours beautifully. Also, who said chickens have to look like chickens?

The water I want to make will take me a while to animate, but it'll look great when I find the time to do it. Similar to the current water, but with proper animated details. I knew it, so amazing texture pack can't have water like this without proper reason. Thank you! And what about particles, you doubled ther resolution to make spiral smoke? I saw simmilar smoke in 16p.
Also, what about put all alt textures in one folder?

I'm taking my computer down first thing tomorrow, so I'll be absent from my thread until early next week. So to keep things fun, here's some homework. Since I'm moving into a new house, I thought this would be an appropriate activity - build a house. Easy. The catch is that you have to build it from scratch, no taking photos of existing houses. Doesn't have to be huge and amazing, but it can be. My favorite building style is always cozy and efficient, but that's just me. Build whatever house you want. This isn't a contest, there's no winner (and no prizes, sorry), so don't sweat it and have fun. No rules, no limits. Build the house of your dreams. Then take a photo and share it in this thread. I'll do a righteous contest after 1.8 is released. This is just a fun activity to fill the time. So get building!
