Sorry to hear about this, best of luck to you. I'm glad there's folk's like you standing up for an artist's rights. I'm sorry to say that I don't share your passion. Jolicraft is one of my only projects that I don't have to stress over or fret about protecting my IP and copyright, because it doesn't make a difference for me. I'm not looking to pick fights or defend it's honor, I made Jolicraft for my own enjoyment. I made it for Minecraft. I spend time on it because I enjoy it, I want it to be perfect. If copycat leeches want to take my work and claim it's their own, let them. They're already doing it. Heck let them take the whole damn thing and call it '****inAwesomeCraft' and make a whopping $20/month in ad.fly links. Their lack of talent is punishment enough. I guess my hope is that the Jolicraft brand is strong enough to weather any imitators. All I can do is keep making great textures for the world to enjoy, and if I'm the catalyst for imitators to achieve imagined admiration for their nonexistent creativity, so be it, but I'm not going to loose sleep over it.
Well... whatever happens Andre, you still are "Da Man!" Thank you so much for your work so far and I hope to see more awesome stuff from you.

Ha! nicely said. Turns out we are not doing that anyway. The admins and a curse staff member gave a few responses and now we are waiting to see the final verdict.

This was the first texture pack I've ever used, and it will always be superior to all the others (in my opinion). YOU alone inspired me to continue Candycraft, and I thank you for that.

Nice! They'll come up with a better system. Thanks for fighting the good fight.

Well I guess inspiration is cyclical, because CandyCraft inspired me when I first started. I remember trying it out at the time of the texture pack contest. I actually wanted to cram and have Jolicraft done for the contest, but I realized that was crazy. Textures take a lot longer than I had expected. :tongue.gif:

im with the 2 above posters youre showing your passion for your work by standing by it no matter what happens, i applaud you how ever you choose to handle this
Speaking of the Webhallen 16x texture pack contest, I wish you could have entered. It would have been awesome to lose to Jolicraft, a texture pack beyond words, rather than Pixeludi. So what if Candycraft came in third, or if it didn't win at all. You texture pack is 5001.67% more unique that Pixeludi, and it could have easily brought home the gold.

Well, with nothing better to talk about on a friday night, it's time for some shameless self promotion! I just finished remaking my business site, doodlemachine.com. This is my project that brings me the most work, so it needed some attention. I loved my old site but it was so web 1.9, ya know? It's a little bit lame, but sometimes you need to be lame to pay the bills.
I promise I'm not neglecting Jolicraft btw. I'm working on remaking my main forum post. I redid the rain. Now that I'm playing more I really dislike how I didn't properly handle the dyes, so I'm going to redo all of those. And when the adventure update hits it'll be right as I'm moving! Sheesh. But no worries! I'll have my laptop, and my wacom pad, and a jug full of iced coffee in the fridge, and I'll get that to you as soon as I'm able once the update hits.

Wow, that's a pretty interesting site! The moving gears did get my attention, too. :3
Oh, can I ask a favor from you? I was wondering if you could give me a good palate to make ores with. I only need five or so colors for each ore. I'd be extremely grateful if you could find a few minutes to do that for me! Thanks.

That is a beautiful site, all of your art is just so amazing, it really inspires me. How do you come up with your palettes? Do you have a large library of colors you use?
