I know I missed the boat on the screenshot contest, but I still wanted to show you guys this lovely little tableau I found.
Ray of hope
It was the first day of a new adventure. I stumbled upon a small cave, and ventured inside to find some coal to guard against the horrors of the night come sundown. But a creeper, one of the vile, dastardly spawn of mutant shrubs, tried to ambush me in the dark, and collapsed the entrance of the cave behind me. Wounded, completely out of raw pork, and with only a wooden pick to my name, I ventured farther into the cave, hoping to find my way out.
I soon discovered, however, that the 'small' cave was not small at all. The entire mountain was hollow! Skeletons assaulted me with a hail of arrows from the steep black slopes, an unseen menace the the pitch black darkness. Zombies groaned all around me, shuffling ever closer to where I stood rooted in fear. I was certain that I was done for, that I would die in the darkness of that infernal cavern.
And that's when I saw it-- a faint sparkle of light from up ahead. I rushed towards it, flinching for the blows of arrows and furiously hacking at the spiders who tried to bar my path. And then, just when I thought that I could run no more, I came upon the most beautiful sight I had even seen-- a tree growing up from the rock, lifting its branches to the brilliant sunlight streaming down from a tiny hole in the side of the mountain.
Ingenious clouds Andre!
I might have to borrow the idea for the long bands of clouds. It's pure awesome!
@Steelfeather: That picture looks flippin' amazing! Great work and a great little story behind it as well. I think it probably would've won on one of the contest days if it was taken earlier but hey, I just found a new wallpaper!
@Drewbie: I love it. Looks awesome. Probably would've used it if I didn't already have a skin that I made myself :tongue.gif:
I'm in love with this texture pack, but I have one qualm I'd like dispute with it. The font makes it incredibly hard to communicate over chat in multiplayer. Is there by chance a way that I can disable the custom font? I'd hate to have to switch over such a tiny issue.

I have to say I am a fan. This pack is like no other; playing with Jolicraft makes Minecraft feel like a completely different game. I do have a suggestion, though. Why not make the horizantal bars from the fences ropes like the ladders? I'm not quite sure how it will look, but I do like the sound of it.
Also, what worlds did you take screenshots of for the OP's pictures?
Thanks, with that simple answer I managed to find the source of my problem. So again thanks you for the assist Domino. Now I can love this texture pack to its fullest <3
I've just gotten a chance to download and patch the Jolicraft 3.8 textures and I believe there is only one thing I can say about the changes.
DAT CLOUD LAYER The clouds look stunning Andre, and if I had a first-born son I would briefly consider briefly considering letting you borrow him. Although you probably wouldn't want to, because any offspring of mine will turn out to be just as much of a sarcastic ******* ^^'
On a side note, can you recall when I last messaged you? I've finished the Aether terrain, although I only made very minor changes to the one you have already presented. The items of the Aether, however, are proving to be slightly more difficult. Because I can't find them. Because the creators hid them. Because they probably hate me. And sunshine. And happiness.

Why I'm flattered that you so much appreciate the...ermmm....tone with which I write :biggrin.gif:
I do hope that you have fun camping! I shall be working diligently on the Aether edits while you are away, so expect several beautiful edits nestled in your inbox upon your return.
Enjoy the outdoors, as I've no doubt they are splendid wherever you are, as long as it is not Texas.
Because I live in Texas.
And Texas is a wretched place to live this time of year.
Looks great! You mind if I include this as an alt in my next release?
