I love tundra biomes, to me they are one of the most beautiful places in minecraft, ever changing. When you said enter today I remembered I had a fantastic save I was testing my textures on, I ended up getting stuck on top of a pine tree at night, with no resources and it started to snow... perfect I said, this is what minecraft is.
Soooo cold, can hardly feel my fingers or legs.
No sooner had I entered this snowy land the weather started to get worse the deeper I progressed.
I'm out of supplies and need shelter fast so I can last through the night.
Just spotted what looks like vertical shaft going deep into the earth, maybe will find some shelter and food/warmth in there.
Can someone please explain to me how you add the Aether textures? I can't seem to get them to work.
Inside the jolicraft.zip, make a new folder called "aether" (without quotes). You will probably need an archiver. Drag the blocks & gui folders from the jolicraft_aether_1.0, and drop them into the aether folder you just made. Now your jolicraft zip is compatible with the aether.
Andre! I love this texture-pack with a hydrogen-fusing sort of intensity, and the aether extension too. I've noticed, though, your incubator gui texture seems to be missing an "in use" animation.
EDIT: for the rest of you trying to use the aether extension, here's my crappy modified incubator gui png until Andre updates the real one.

I spied through my binoculars a forgotten valley, void of life with huge mountain ranges bordering it, and an archway leading under the mountains. I shall not tell you what was on the other side, it would ruin the mystery.

Very nice, I like the see through to beyond cave on the left.
Hipstamatic like a boss... But this was legitimately photoshop, though I have seen those plugins that do this sort of stuff in Photoshop. They're quite nice.
That was a real occurrence too, no hacking of tall grass here. It was just a boss patch of tall grass on a dirt block with no grass...
I think I did a little too much noise, looks fine when it's zoomed out like this. But fullscreen, doesn't look as pleasant.
So the end of my journey has arrived; I thought it would last longer that this.
I recall crawling to that cave then a sudden feeling of falling then nothing. My last thing I saw was staring up out of the cave with the snow already forming around me then it all went quite and dark.
I don't know how long as passed but when I next opened my eyes I was astonished at the beauty of my surroundings.
Some heavenly place; so calm and peaceful.
Seems I am being drawn to a large structure ahead of me; I wonder if a new adventure will begin here. Farewell my friends.
Well said. Very well said.
I like that it has a little oasis, nice shot.

Domino's cave is a really great shot. No editing needed, just a great unique feature. (http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/1587/18516042.png)
Spruu's beautiful sunset. Lens flare! (http://i.imgur.com/oadT9.png)
Also loved DorianGREY326's winter landscape. Especially the description! (http://i53.tinypic.com/24wvd3t.jpg)
CowThing's ice maze was really "cool" (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3609329/minestuff/joliphotos/joliday5.png).
But there can only be one winner, and for Day 5 that would have to be:
Winner: Benten2000
I mean, c'mon! What an amazing landscape. The post processing adds some great mood. Love the description too.
Thanks to everyone for your great entries. Can't wait to see what the final days of the contest yield.

I had to do that sort of shot as already done day 7 (thinking was only 5 days and ended my story).
No! Don't give up! You're not allowed!
Indeed, any screenshot is a great screenshot with Jolicraft

Please stop that, it doesnt make it look any better or artistic.

I actually love how the screenshot turned out. It had the perfect amount of noise, and the dark blurred edges made it an unique entry.
