I am honestly surprised at no adf.ly links, I would highly recommend you do it. For all you adf.ly haters, screw off. Making original textures, skins and mods is hard and long work and we're doing you a favor for creating something cool and orignal and waiting 5 seconds is nothing. If you have a decent Ad block plugin for your Internet Application nothing shows up and I usually click the DL link via 'Open in New Tab' and continue looking at the thread and the 5 seconds is up and click 'Skip Ad', done that's it! I don't see all the fuss.
It's nice to get something back, and this is worth waiting 5 seconds for all those who hate adf.ly.
This texture pack is great, I've seen it grow right from the start, I'm on page 3 or something and Andre in my eyes who has given the community screenshot competitions and prizes should have nothing wrong or against using adf.ly.
this pack has just gone nuts, you are so talented and produce work at an alarmingly quick rate, props to you. It makes minecraft look and feel amazing using this pack, well done mate!
oh and I would fully support you using adfly, anything we can do to support the good texture pack artists on these forums we should!

I'm fine without getting money from ads. Jolicraft doesn't need to make money, it's free and I'm more than happy just to have people enjoying it and spreading the word. I'm all for folks turning a small profit from their endeavors, and I support them whole heartedly because they put in hard work and deserve it, but it's not necessary here. I get payment in the form of traffic to my site & facebook & twitter, where I sell prints and take custom projects. Believe it or not I've actually gotten some WORK from folks who found me right here in this forum. So don't go worrying about me, it's my pleasure to give you a quick & easy download :smile.gif:

Your kind words are all the support I could ever need.
Sheesh, could you guys make my job a little easier please? How am I supposed to choose a winner from all these awesome entries....
Okay, here goes.
Day 3 Winner: Benten2000's fisheye desert!
Great entry Benten.
God I wish I could change the colour of the sky. That ultramarine blue has been nothing but a nuisance in my quest to make the palette cohesive. Ah well.
There are addon's that can alter the sky colour as its hard coded into the jar/classes.
Don't know if possible to see what these addon's alter in the main jar to maybe able to do manually without the need for a full addon install

I am with you on this. I wanted to redo the sky to a more starry night feel for my pack...but no .png file :tongue.gif:

Okay, I've been checking in on the tread all day while I've been working. You guys looked like you were having too much fun that I wasn't a part of, so I had to give it a try. Dusted off my blur & burn tools and got to work. This is a random seed that I came across once and I saved it to do something with someday. I think I'm going to make a huge treehouse at the top of that cliff. Or maybe a rollercoaster. This feature looks amazing from all sides.
Can I win my own contest? :tongue.gif:
Here's the original http://i.imgur.com/2SXKy.jpg. I think the sky in my edited version is what I'd choose if I could edit the sky colour. A green-blue hue with a lighter brightness, not too saturated, fading to orange as the day fades. Everyone start bugging Mojang to let us skin the sky, k?
*hangs his head in shame* I have...retweeted...your...tweet. *shudder*
Hopefully though this will get them moving. I suppose that the biggest difficulty would be that there would almost have to be two different pngs for night and day skies and the transition between the two would be difficult to acheive.

I'm 99% sure the sky color is stored in hexadecimal value somewhere in a .class file. It would be *super* easy to change, but yes, there would probably have to be some calculations to handle the transition. I put a message in on cferril1's Minecraft Enhanced thread asking where it is, as his mod allows you to change it with RGB sliders.

hmm...
Sadly, for what I want to do with my pack, just changing the hex value wouldn't help. It would be great if the sky was actually a png file.

SHEEP! Nuff said.
I love you too.
And if I'm not, I'm not? That's not fair...

Back on topic, I also loved XSSheep's awesome cow pic (http://i.imgur.com/rIIbv.jpg) and Domino's entry which is very faithful to the nature of the contest (http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/6038/85214939.png). And the rest.
Keep snapping! Day 4 is looking amazing already.
