love ittt :biggrin.gif:
but, one question, how do i remove it ?
In the minecraft launcher click "options", then "force update". That'll reset minecraft back to the vanilla textures.

Gotta say i have been loving this texture pack.
Although, I gotta say i am kinda bumed by the new tool textures, Thay all looked better before imo. X3 Is their any way i can change them back?
Also i have to say, I really like how the armors do not cover your skin, And only gives things like scarves, Bracelets, And what not >:3

Thanks! And you can always download a previous version of Jolicraft from the 'version history' section of my main post. You'll find the old tools in an older version.

Ever think about making wallpaper versions of your art? would love the octopus or loch ness art in 1080p as my background.
That's a pretty good idea. I used to make wallpapers from some of my digital patterns & stuff, but I've never done a painting one. You may see that show up on my blog sometime.
PRINT SALE!
Well the time is here. I've finally put up prints for sale on my site, andrejolicoeur.com. And now, for a limited time, in very limited quantities, I have a sale on the prints from my contest. Just $5 each! (plus shipping).
If you were a runner up, NOW IS YOUR CHANCE! Grab a print and in the "leave a message for the seller" field be sure to put your forum name and the names of 3 prints you'd like to have (you only get one, but give me 3 options in case the one you want is gone). Be sure to only choose prints from the "sale" section as your free print.

Of course, you can do that with any of the older assets that you'd like to get back. I suggest downloading 2.1 and using the tools from that one. Just grab items.png from the gui folder of the zip, and replace the one in the current version.

Andre, Ive just had a look on your website and i was blown away. I love animation and its rare i get the same feeling from a print/painting etc as i do with animation. But i love your work, "elusive lighthouse" and "girl with wallpaper" are amazing! Have you ever designed or been asked to design a tattoo? I understand if you are against the idea.
I have actually. I've drawn tattoos for 3 people. I don't love doing it though. I'm always so limited with tattoos, because they pretty much need to be done in a certain style to look right. Plus I never think my stuff is good enough to warrant being permanently attached to someones flesh :tongue.gif:. That's why I don't have ant tattoos, because I can't come up with something I like enough.
Andre, you are truly an artist. I have never before looked at water in a game and literally sat there breathless. This pack is amazing.
I really love every block in your terrain.png. How did you go about them? Everything looks so smooth for just 16p. Especially the Netherrack! I find myself spending dangerously long amounts of time in the Nether, just gathering the stuff by the bucketload. It looks fantastic. Any attempts at making anything even relatively close to yours in my texture pack meets with utter failure.
But again, I love your art, I love your pack. I can't help but be inspired and want to go have fun while playing with your texture pack on. Overall, this is just great. Thanks for doing what you do.
Just showing my support how I can. :smile.gif: *salute*
i must of been in another world when i read the runner up prizes. you mean we get to pick a print still? :ohmy.gif:
Check here for details: http://jolicraft.com/contest.html
Long story short, you can have a free print but you have to pay for shipping. If you buy a print, I can put your free print in with it so you'd essentially get free shipping too :wink.gif:. Also, I have a sale on at www.andrejolicoeur.com/sale.html.

Many thanks! It was actually a ridiculously long process. I had a vision for what I wanted. I knew the colour scheme, and the basics of what I wanted most blocks to 'feel' like. But once I started it was a struggle of going back & forth between textures to make them work with each other and within my overall vision. It sort of felt like working on a painting, where you paint one thing on one side of the canvas, then you paint another thing on the other side and suddenly the first thing looks different then it did before, so you have to go back & forth between all the elements to keep them working together.
And everything had to be unique. I couldn't live with just having slight variations on the common themes. Like the wool. I love the 'stitched edges' wool that everyone uses, but I couldn't just do that because it's been done a thousand times, so I ended up doing like 30 versions of various wool styles before I settled on this one. And it's for the best, because every time I had to struggle through a texture, pulling my hair out to make it work, it ends up being better than I ever could have hoped.
Anyways, long story short is that I gave this pack all my attention and effort, and I'm just glad to know it's brightening some folk's days :wink.gif:

ah man lucky people, i understand what you mean thought, i would love "within reach" on my calf but the thing i like most (texture of the sky) just wouldn't work for a tattoo. Is there any way i could see the tattoos you designed? And stop being so modest you plonka lol, id be honored to have a peace of you work on me! Yeah it took me years to know what i wanted for my first then years to find someone i would let do it, but as everyone says if you do find something you want to get done you'll be addicted.
Nah you don't wanna see the tattoos. One was a goldfish, one was a cherry blossom leaf, and one was an abstract floral design. Nothing I've been proud to show off. But let me give it some thought and maybe someday I'll post some tattoo concept sketches on my blog :wink.gif:

I frequently try other texture packs but, I always come back to Jolicraft. :smile.gif:
I tried something with the shader mod that put some bloom effect. With Jolicraft, it's simply awesome !
Oooh nice. I could never get that working because I had an ATI card, but I see now they got it working for ATI. I may have to give that a go next time I play.

The most unique and consistent texture pack here! Thanks a lot!
ALSO, I don't want to count my chickens before they're hatched, but I'm working with a very talented coder and you may just see a JOLICRAFT TEXTURE PACK CUSTOMIZER at some point in the near future.... :smile.gif: :smile.gif: :smile.gif:

Ahh that'd be cool. I made myself a Custom Painterly Pack with Its customizer. It is now in the top 3 of my favorite packs.
Wow this texture pack Is SOOOOOO Awesome I just love it Except for the cobblestone because a castle made out of this cobble stone looks kinda silly lol but Everything else is Awesome and it is the closest thing to a HD texture pack as any 16x16 can get. So congratulate yourself on a job very well done... WITH DIAMONDS

Working on textures would be much easier. you can work on a lot and put up textures every now and then on the site. Have like 10 textures for each block. XD

Perfect. :3
Do you intend to add HD font though? :ohmy.gif: (since players are already using MCpatcher ^^ )

Install the shader mod

Then, replace the file called "final.fsh" located in the "shaders" directory in "minecraft.jar", by this one:

Best pack ever !
