woohoo! looks like i'm a runner-up! congrats to all those that one (and good hard work everybody). feels nice to see who won got runner-up as well. i like all the submissions :smile.gif:
that first is pretty gnarly. crap, i should have added some depth of field or something to mine, hehe. thanks andre for letting me submit my stuff, this has been a huge blast!
I am so happy you picked my nether house shot as a runner up :smile.gif: That one was the most fun to take! That ghast you see killed me once, but I came back, and was able to make a column of dirt and get the shot while he was shooting fireballs at me!
This is fantastic.
As I said to the chap who makes Painterly, it's really sad that there's so many packs out there that lean toward making this game realistic, when it's a game based entirely on cube people in a cube world punching cubes.
Stylized packs that help promote the escapist nature and natural cuteness of the game are wonderful. This one especially for having a very cute design style and great color choices. Color theory is so important when designing things.
There really need to be more packs like this that are simpler, reduce visual noise, but also don't blandify everything into single blocks of solid color.
Major kudos.

Nah, depth of field isn't necessary. Your shots were awesome. Great submissions.

I runner up!!! HappyhappyhappyYayyayayay!
:biggrin.gif: Ty Andre! BTW who were the other judges, you said "we"?
Once again it's not a request so I perfectly understand if you don't care for it, I know it's a lot of work and maybe you don't even use this mod.
I wish I had the time, but I've already spent way more time on all this stuff than I should have. If I run out of stuff to do and I'm feeling bored I'll try my hand at some of the Mo Creatures skins. I used to play with that mod.

Any help? When I patch it, it works, but there are no biomes at all, and biomes only work if I still have default textures and use the Jolicraft file in texture packs list, and the default water is... bleh.
Fantastic! 16 bit means it just feels natural to the game, but the added water, biome fix, etc really just holds it all together. It has its own unique style that carries all the way thru

You need to switch to default texture pack before you patch. The patcher swaps out the default for the texture pack chosen.
I was playing with my friend last night and used the iron armor for the first time. IMO it's the best looking armor out of the set. Kinda wish diamond armor looked a little different. For the current diamond armor it's only a few bands and glasses. Would be nice if it had the style of iron but a more fancy look to it.

Well thanks for that. And I really wish there was MORE I could be customizing. I'd love for minecraft to have the visual editablity to choose biomes without the need for a patcher, to choose the day & night sky colour. To edit the stars themselves! Maybe I just want to play god, but I sort of think that if I could play god I could really make a perfectly complete pack. Maybe someday huh.

Yeah I was really happy with that iron armor. I love it and the leather armor. Those are my favorites. I really couldn't come up with something for the diamond other than bracelets & accessories like that. I sort of felt like things made of diamond should be small trinkets, almost magical in nature. I'd love to revisit the armor though. I think adding an entire set of alternate armors might happen at some point :wink.gif:
Here's the deal. If I use the mod, I'll skin the mod. That's the reason I made jolicraft in the first place, to modify my world. I tried Mo Creatures and I didn't keep it updated so I stopped caring about it. I'll try Aether mod at some point when it's out. But I'm a really 'vanilla' kinda guy (despite the impression you may get from my pack), and I don't love mods. Er, I should say I love their potential and I think there's tons of mods that are great concepts that should totally be implemented into the official game. It's just that I hate mod management, or things that change the game in any remotely unbalanced way. So I generally steer clear of mods until they're so perfect that they're basically required. I have a soft spot for WildGrass, but that's about it. So the short answer is, 'maybe but don't hold your breath'.

Love this pack. Where can I get the sandstone texture featured in the first video?
That sandstone is one of the alternate textures in terrain.png. Open terrain.png in my pack, you'll see it there along the bottom. You'll have to help yourself to editing terrain.png to get that texture instead of the current one. Sorry, can't help you there, you'll have to do some learnin'.
Then we match! :biggrin.gif:
Also I'd like to thank Joli and the rest of the Jolicraft board of excellence.

I wasn't suprised I didn't place. The other shots are amazing. Currently at school BTW, gotta type quick :3
I'm honored that Scotty actually talked to me :
Congrats to the winners!

I had that problem because I add an older version of jolicraft in my texture pack folder... if i remember correctly.

These are the questions I must ask myself

Although, I gotta say i am kinda bumed by the new tool textures, Thay all looked better before imo. X3 Is their any way i can change them back?
Also i have to say, I really like how the armors do not cover your skin, And only gives things like scarves, Bracelets, And what not >:3
