I abousuetly love your texture pack. It's just so....awesome, and the execution is perfect. I have a treehouse, but it kinda sucks compared to this. I was planning to make it like your art style, like it was a vintage photo, BUT I fail at photoshop.
I'm curious to know the process in which you made the texture pack, so excuse my invasive questions. lol.
Did you work pixel by pixel for each block, or did you perhaps draw and render the texture and then scale it to size?
How did you choose the theme for the pack?
Was there any sort of outside program you used (besides an image editing one) to help you make the pack?
Did you have something to work off of when making the textures? (ie photographs)
Was it easy? Did it take long?
I guess you can treat it like an interview? see, I'm just struggling to get my own texture pack off the ground, and I REALLY admire this pack. It's won my heart over Painterly. So I'd really love to know your process...
I would like to announce that the contest is over. Thank you all for your entries. The judges & I will begin our deliberation. We'll be posting the winners early this week. Good luck to all contestants. :tongue.gif:

DUDE I LOVE THIS TEXTURE PACK i've been thinking of making a texture pack called the Snakpak but it's probably not gonna happen but still this is an awesome texture pack

It sounds like you want a different texture pack maybe? Or create your own... I think the most original texture packs are the ones that people create because they have their own idea of what Minecraft should look like!

Awesome texture pack! The only part I don't like about it is the sandstone, it looks a little like sponge. Maybe make it more bricky?
I agree, it looks a little wierd.
Otherwise, very good pack!
The default Jolicraft sandstone is meant to look good as a naturally occurring material. I didn't think it looked right to have man-made looking bricks sitting at the bottom of naturally occurring sand cliffs. But just for folks like you there's an alternate sandstone texture in the terrain.png. Refer to my instructions under the "alts" section for more info.

Here's money for you, don't spend it on drugs !
BTW, Jolicoeur doesn't mean "happy heart" but "pretty heart". So your pack means prettycraft in french, which fits perfectly too (yes I'm french, that's why my english is not very good. :tongue.gif: )
But a "joli coeur" in french is an expression for someone who seduces women, it's like "to play Romeo" in english I suppose.
I hope you don't speak french or I'll look really stupid with my lessons.
K. I'll spend this money on food, and spend my food money on drugs.
And the whole "Happy Heart" translation is purely a regional thing. I know the literal translation is 'pretty' or 'beautiful' heart (can also mean many other positive things). My family is from Quebec and to say someone is a 'jolicoeur' has always been less about being pretty or attractive and more about being cheerful and positive. So the Jolicoeurs have always chosen to go with "Happy Heart" as our own official unofficial translation :wink.gif:.
I wonder? :wink.gif: The best of luck to all the participants, I can't wait until the results are announced!

Wow someone is a little demanding.

I really love the wood in this pack, it just..blends in....with logs, and such. Love it :3
Though I have to say I don't like the Mobs, They look way to unrelated to Minecraft to me.
Also the Diamond Armor bugs me allot, but that's just me.
Other that that it's perfect for a new skin! It even beets out Geruduku Remix by Danscottbrown.
Is there a way to change the mobs back to the origanal Minecraft Mobs?
Here you go
