Is there a pack of the old alt textures that used to be on the customize website? I used to like playing around with those and I haven't been able to find a copy of them.
i have been rather hard at work updating the seasonal jolicraft packs for personal use, namely the snowy and spooky packs. i'm not a terribly skilled artist so i had to wing it with quite a few textures, but all in all i think it works ok.
first is my fixed version of regular jolicraft http://www.mediafire.com/download/r00sohdvfl1vso1/jolicraft_1-8a.zip it has blockstate fixes to stop the ugly texture rotation of certain blocks used for the pack, along with a tweaked version of the fixed enchanting GUI from earlier in the thread, not much was changed, just bug fixes
next is snowy jolicraft, it is rebuilt as an addon pack, IT MUST BE LOADED ON TOP OF REGULAR JOLICRAFT TO WORK http://www.mediafire.com/download/bcufil88p5ruq2u/Snowy_Jolicraft_Addon.zip i adjusted the new stone blocks to fit in with the general color scheme, while still being true to the color ranges of the real live minerals, in addition to fixing all the new foliage. MCpatcher is strongly recommended to fix the stubborn birch trees and swamps
and then spooky jolicraft, same as above, it is an ADDON TO JOLICRAFT http://www.mediafire.com/download/pis2c7vxhtpaa6m/Spooky_Jolicraft_Addon.zip this one was a lot harder for me to fix, since i had to try and redo the flowers and other plants to fit in, i drew up a couple new plants, but i'm not skilled enough to do the rest justice, if anyone feels like drawing up some "creepy" halloween plants, i'll add it to the pack
i made a couple little randommobs variants for both packs for a bit more thematic variety, nothing special
does anyone happen to have the old "holi joli christmas" pack? the download links for it are long dead and i REALLY want the villagers from it, all the versions of snowy jolicraft i have been able to find don't have any of the exclusively christmasy textures, i had to struggle to even find the paintings
EDIT: i FOUND it, i managed to locate the original holly joli christmas version of snowy jolicraft on a little hole in the wall japanese site, now i can make an addon for the addon
does anyone have some of the alternate jolicraft textures (like from minecraft customizer)? Minecraft Customizer has been gone for a while and ii dont really like the deafaults.

Cool! I know how that feels,I'm currently working on two (well one atm cuz my computer is kinda incapacitated, and the pack isn't backed-up...OOPS) texturepacks that each present their own unique challenges... You ever try re-drawing vector art that wasn't designed with tiling in mind as pixel-art that IS? it's...umm...interesting...
I'll have to download these all and try them later. (my friend and his dad have EXCELLENT computers, that more importantly aren't randomly crashing)
My only question is why are the seasonal ones simply addons?
Aren't they complete, stand-alone packs in their own right? (iirc, I haven't used spooky in a while, which is my fav)
Good luck, and thanks for keeping an awesome pack alive!

there's absolutely no point making them complete packs when you can load multiple resource packs now.
in theory whenever a new update hits, all you'll need to do is update the base pack and the addon packs are automatically updated as a result, new blocks are added to the base pack and go straight to where they're supposed to go in the addon assuming they don't do another huge GUI overhaul or start remodeling existing blocks, that's the ideal way of handling alt packs
which meant i just needed to go through and completely tear out any textures that were not unique to the seasonal packs, and change the few things that were particularly out of place, the seasonal packs as they were had enormous amounts of duplicate textures from standard jolicraft
i don't intend to try and take over for andre, my goal was simply to fix a few things he missed and fix up the much beloved alt packs he doesn't have the time to deal with, depending on how much of a pain minecraft 1.9 will be(jeb mentioned he's creating new 3D blocks which has me a tad worried), i may or may not be updating for them

i didn't realize how many textures were shared...
it's funny, the pack i am working on may be released as multiple parts, due to the amount of content i am hoping to include, and that some people may not like some of the stuff, like mcpatcher features i want to add (if i can find a good enough resource on creating mcpatcher-compatible packs >.> )
hmm...
ok then
depends how these are done i think...
it would be incredibly stupid at this point to physically alter pre-existing blocks so drastically...
If you (or anyone) could provide the old alt textures, for cobble and stuffs, that would be great. I really miss the customizer, and ,no offense, the deafault pack isn't as good as some of the old custom textures. I added a picture so you can better understand.

Been playing the Feed The Beast Regrowth pack and decided to do a Jolicraft Patch for Botania. Here's some photos.

If I wanted a few patches in this style, for a some mods (NEI and Xaero's minimap) where should I go?
