Why did you choose the red-ish color for the stone? I have grown to love it but, I am just curious because I think it's an unusual color for stone. :tongue.gif:

i forgot to mention i LOVE this pack so so much, it gives the game such a cheery look. plus im a fan of more olive and yellow toned things (green and yellow are my favorite colors!), which this pack is full of. i took a peak at your paintings and oh gosh...i love them! so i will definitely be entering this contest. im not too talented in the building area but i will try and take some good photos :smile.gif: expect them in a day or two!

Yes! I did play that one. Great art, great cartoon style, I wish more games looked like that. Especially the characters. It felt like a cartoon that was made as a game instead of a cartoon.

One suggestion ofr the pack that bugs me, is the sand doesn't tile well for me, I think there may be a couple pixels in one corner that are slightly too dark? It's only a minor complaint, but I love Sandstone stuff so I spend a lot of time in desert biomes.
I don't know if anyone else notices it either?
Funny you should bring that up. I was just reworking the sand texture the other day. Expect a touched-up sand & snow with the next update.

It came to me in a dream. Then I forgot it in another dream. Then I redreamed it from advice from a fortune cookie. Then I wrote it down so I wouldn't forget. Then once I almost lost the note so I ate it. I haven't forgot it since.

Have you ever considered flipping the shovels around? Like mirroring them across the vertical so that the shafts go this way:

Painterly had an option for that, and I always liked it because reoriented the shovel to make it look like you were sticking the shovel into the dirt blade first and digging rather than smacking at it with the side of the shovel blade. I just do this myself whenever you release a new version, it takes no time at all to change it, but I figured I'd bring it to your attention in case you hadn't seen it. Just got into the office but I'll try to post a picture of it tonight when I get home
So to recap, my entry into the competition is two pictures and a skin. Dunno if the skin is allowed, but I'm not very good at building "awesome" things and my main world is mostly desert so there's not a ton of scenic spots to be found.
EDIT: The only photoshopping that was done was to put the frames around images 1 and 2, lightening up image 2 since I couldn't see it very well on my monitor. I made the skin from scratch, not using any existing model or parts, just a very basic template that told me what was what.
workbench: only texturepack with tools on top. ruins many patterns on smp where the top is used as a decoration. just to consider.
Workbenches shouldn't be used as flooring. They're workbenches! I'm all for folks being creative with their constructions and coming up with unconventional ways of using objects, but with Jolicraft you'll just have to think of something else to make your floors out of. I'm messy and I don't put away my tools, deal with it people!
No, I completely understand. I play multiplayer alot. When you put this pack on, 3/4 of the ugly stuff turna pretty (I do appreciate your ART in this <3). however, about 3/4 of the pretty stuff turns ugly too. "Smoothstone" has cracks all over it, nice floors turn into messy rooms, and everything ends up looking wrong.
I understand completely how you want your vision to go, but at a point the playability and multiplayer requirements have to constrain how crazy the pack can be.
Dont let the ppl get you down, but please, please make this pack more playable.
I made this outside my tree house for my boyfriend as a surprise one day :3 it says R and K, for me and his initials. i had to go find all those red flowers one by one with the help of my boyfriend (i didnt tell him what i was making!), and i think it came out nice! besides the fact that a majority of the time the cows and piggies are having a good ol' time hopping around on my flowers i was lucky to get a shot where they werent involved!
2. From Day To Night
its the view from the balcony of my tree house :smile.gif: i liked the look of it transitioning from day to night and the light slowly getting eaten up by the dark.
3. Outgrown
i seemed to have outgrown my boat! and misplaced the water......
It might just be me, but the download link isn't working suddenly. My brother found it and downloaded it, I saw it and really liked it, went to download it and it doesn't work. I get to the page and every time I click the download button it just refreshes the page.

How do you do a forward 3rd person? Used to be F5 then F1 and that doesn't work for me.
