also since the people in this thread are nice , im wanting to make an "incinerator" anyone have any ides ?
This is a basic idea - just a piece of burning netherrack (or lava) surrounded by brick, with a half-slab in front. Stand in front of it, and burn away all your unwanted items!
And once again, I wanted to say how beautiful the pack is! And I may or may not have a major (man) crush on the dev.
Dear Joli,
Again, I want to thank you for the work you do on this texture pack. I've looked at a few other texture packs, but there's something about yours that just seems to fit so well, for me.
I'm very much looking forward to see what other things you have in mind for your pack.
Many thanks, my pleasure! And you'll see very soon what I have planned for the future of Jolicraft. Just stay tuned!

if this werent so exspensive id buy it in a heart beat ,its so freaking epic, one of those pictures you stare at while trying to fall asleep .
Glad you like this one, it's one of my favorites. Just a heads up, I can offer prints of anything you see on my site. I'm working on getting a store online asap (As soon as I created this thread my site traffic went up tenfold. Getting affordable prints for sale is my top priority right now).

Took 3 images (from left to right) then used photomerge in photoshop to stitch em together. Then messed with levels. curves and layer blend modes.
Whatever magic you did it's a success. Pretty please give me some similar shots for my OP once Jolicraft is in a somewhat 'complete' stage. Love your construction aesthetics btw.

Many thanks! And good call, that is exactly the incinerator I'll be putting in my basement. Consider your idea STOLEN.
And I've never been called a Dev before. Makes me feel all warm and tingly - and devish (aka, out of shape and socially awkward). But in a good way.
I just did a download count. 35 thousand freakin downloads! I never expected Jolicraft to be this well received. I'm so happy that so many folks are willing to let my silly version of MineCraft into their lives. It's been my pleasure!
And I've got quite a few things planned for the very near future. I'm sorry but I won't be able to do any big update this weekend, I'm swamped with deadlines and I need to work for the next few days. But expect some serious updates/announcements first thing this week.
Coming soon:
Watch this thread for news & updates.
But not until after the weekend. Duty calls.
35 thousand ? I'm not surprised, your pack is one of the best :smile.gif:
I played some time with the pack. It's my opinion, but I don't like the pumpkin.
When I saw it for the first time, I didn't even know what it was. I though it was the sandstone lol... And I forgot it.
And then I took one to test it... and I saw "pumpkin". Hmmm...
I really think the pumpkin should be a pumpkin. And I'm very surprised that you didn't do so. I'm sure you can make a very good pumpkin texture, with that so cool joli style.
The actual one is weird, in a bad way. But it's only my opinion.
Made a little panorama of the finished 1st floor of my home. I did some photoshopping to it to give it a better feel. Did some color correction and lighting.
Might I ask what you did to make this cool-looking image?
Did you Photoshop it together from several screenshots? Is it made from a video pan? Or is there some sort of special program that you used?
Took 3 images (from left to right) then used photomerge in photoshop to stitch em together. Then messed with levels. curves and layer blend modes.
It begins to become really really neat and almost perfect. One question however : I've tried the biome add-on and didn't really like it at all (i'm playing in a Tundra and doesn't like everything gray). If I patch my .jar with the next add on (waiting the big one) does this automatically apply the custom biomes ? Thanks by advance.
Moreover, I post here some screens of our town, Pandahood, after 10 days of installation. Hope you enjoy it and make you wanted to dowload this awesome texture pack.
Hey, I was just playing with music boxes when I noticed the musical note was missing. It's supposed to go in particles.png right below the flame particle.

Hello,
(Absolutely sorry for my English, I'm French, but I'm doing my best)
Just... (I'm sorry I did understand that you where found of 16p texture, and you found it totaly appropriated to Minecraft... But) Would it be possible for you to create a higher resolution texture (64p for example) in the same "spirit"?
- Never, I would die for 16p. --> The one I'm scared to hear.
- Maybe, if I have time later.
- Not me but some fans already did.
- Yes, but I can't start now.
- Yes, I'm on it. I would do anything for my fans ! --> The one I would prefer.
I'm sure you had already answer this question, but I could find it quickly. And it's a good occasion for me to thank you for your job.
Thank you.
Merci beaucoup! And although I would indeed die for 16p, I'd go with "Maybe, if I have time later". Once Jolicraft is in a somewhat 'finished' state I'll start on with some higher res textures. Heads up, making 32x32+ textures takes alot longer than 16x16 ones, so you might be waiting a while. I'll release some teaser shots once I start.

Love your world my friend. Nice construction aesthetics. And the biomes are indeed optional, check my main post for instructions on how to disable the biomes. Long story short, delete foliagecolor & grasscolor from the misc folder and remove the _alt from foliagecolor_alt and grasscolor_alt.

Wow. Just wow. This has to be, by far, the BEST Minecraft texture pack, EVAR!!!! You earned those!
I found this off BlueXephos' Youtube channel, and I'm glad they posted the link. Are you a professional artist? Amazing work my friend, amazing work.
Many thanks, enjoy!

This looks like an amazing 16p texture pack, thanks!
My pleasure.

This is by FAR the best 16x16 texture pack i've seen!
But i have one question: What's up with the pumkin?
The pumpkins are monolithic stones with crude hands painted on them. I didn't like seeing pumpkins in minecraft, so I changed them up. But I'll be adding alternate pumpkins just for folk like you. Stay tuned.
Any chance of uploading the world you took the pics of Joli in that are in the OP? Would be easy now with the new world system no more thousands of files.
How is everyone talking about Pumpkins when He just showed us the Art he's adding?!!! :ohmy.gif:
Lol But yea,.. Super excited for the Art (Im an Art guy) and to see what else you have planned for this wonderful pack,... Cant wait! :biggrin.gif: ,.. You deserve it Andre,.. Hahaha
Oh and cant wait for the prints!! Starflood was my favorite too,.. If I could have that up on my wall,.. then I could die happy,.. Lol
I really like the pack, but any chance of updating the lapis block texture to match iron/gold/diamond?
/agree
Lapiz looks like you should only one from each ore block, when really you get quite a lot :smile.gif:
Oh wait maybe he's talking about the blocks made of 9 of each item.. if so I'm not too bothered =]
Also, I replaced my items with the ones from ShortStuf7's Clean Design Pack. It's so much.. clearer what everything is, I even think some things (like the bones) go really well with the rest of your pack. Maybe have a look and "steal" some? (Even if it's only until you make your own).
Oh, one more thing (hope this one doesn't frustrate you), my large smoothstone castle looks crappy with this texture pack, it's too green. I love how the stone looks underground and in mountains, but.. my poor castle.. maybe you could include an alternative, less green texture for the castle builders out there?
If his smoothstone looks green on your monitor then you need to calibrate that monitor.
This pack is incredible! I would kill for an actual pumpkin, though - glad you're adding that. I'm also not a huge fan of the GUI but it doesn't bug me too much. Anyway, keep doing whatever you're doing because, well, just seeing this pack got me back into Minecraft.
its odd, because of this texture pack,i now have this HUGE expectation out of texture packs, and when i tell people what games i play,i guess i should say "jollicraft" lol, because honestly its like its own game. I cant wait for pumpkins. You should totally keep the pumpkin texture and make a new block with it.

The bridge to the next region to colonized
And some night view...

Hands down, bar none, without a doubt.
I've fallen head over heels in love and I'm not getting up any time soon. Thank you SO much for creating this.
