Any chance of getting some alternate armors in the future? Actual armor I mean, similar to the current iron armor (makes me think of Flight of the Conchords robots :biggrin.gif:)? The current gold and diamond armors are stylish and have a nice charm to them, but would like to see some armor for those sets. They feel more like pimp gear than armor! I think your leather armor is awesome though, and works great for that purpose.
Also wondering, do you plan to include custom paintings soon? I imagine that with your artistic ability you could make some awesome Minecraft paintings. Is that the only thing that has not been skinned in this pack yet?
And just wanna say, this pack is amazing. It really takes Minecraft to a whole new level of beauty and charm! Looking forward to seeing what you do with future updates.
I edited in ELD'S ores for people who want ALT ores. This is not an official release and never will be b/c Joli likes to make things original so this is just something that I personally liked for myself and thought I would share.
Wow,.. So I finally decided to click on the link for Andre's website,.. I was very very impressed!! My favorite was Star Flood,.. The way the colors work together and how it flows,.. If I had 600,.. I would buy it in a heartbeat!!
I know everyone has been telling you to put your artwork in Minecraft and now I know why,.. You sir are a very talented artist!! Im envious!! Lol but yea you really should add your art to the game,. well at least a couple,.. It would really add to the feel of Jollicraft,.. Cuz in all honesty the original paintings of the game dont work at all,.. Im sure many of you agree,.. Im sure you've thought about it Andre,.. But you should add your favorites,.. I can die happy if you do,.. Hahahaha
This is such a brilliant texture pack. For 16 pixels per tile it is utterly AMAZING. I love your style of textures, simple, yet complex. Continue with what you are doing for you are doing an amazing job.
I went from a 256 pack, and I prefer this pack, in all forms..
Loving this pack...Can't wait for the update of wildgrass, just to top off the epicness..
Oh btw: PPPPPPPPPPLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE put your art into the game... such a talented artist you are.
This is still to awesome for me to handle. I love everything about it. I first heard about it when BlueXephos/Xephos and HoneyDew/Lois and Simon) mentioned it.

Ive been with this pack since it had only 1 page of posts. Keep of the good work mate! I dont mean to be mean (lol double means) but, that sandstone is kind of weird.
I registered to say that this is an amazing pack and that it makes the whole minecraft experience even better. Andre, I love your art too... especially the Elusive Forest Whale. =)
I don't really know the ettiquette around these things but I made some unofficial (of course) gui alts. Basically they are all memory-aides/ease-of-use tweaks:
The first three just burn a random image into the workbench/furnace/dispenser, so there's a visual aid to remind you what you're doing,
This one adds roman numerals to the item slots so you can get to your pork easier,
Just make sure the files are properly named, open the archive and drop them into the /gui/ folder to use them.
Made a little panorama of the finished 1st floor of my home. I did some photoshopping to it to give it a better feel. Did some color correction and lighting.
open in a new tab for bigger image
Going to make a video once i finish most of my town.
Just extract and put the art folder into the .zip file of the current version.
Actually I never intended to include art in the pack until it was ready. I accidentally added it at one point. It'll be done soon, then you'll have 100% original art for your Jolicraft world.

You're right, it does suit minecraft well, and I like how it's only 16x16 :smile.gif:
Awesome, glad you're enjoying it!

Yeah, I know. I used to have a brick-ish sandstone texture before the last update. But since 1.3 sandstone is naturally occurring. I had to come up with a texture that looks natural in the world where it occurs. So this is the best I could do, and although it does look great as a natural texture, it looks a little weird as a building material. That's why I left the old sandstone texture in the terrain.png, for the folks who prefer to use sandstone for building and don't care how it looks in the terrain.

My word.
My word! *cough*shutupimgoingtospeakshutup*cough*
Ahem. I've always said that 16 pixels was the purest form of texture pack. The original and the best. But I've never really had much to back that up with. Quandary is okay, painterly is filled with irritations, but this...this is just sublime.
You've kept the 16 pixels, but everything is marvellous. The pallete is jolly without being bright, the use of custom water moderating, Andre's hair and clothing refreshing, the cloth, the stone, the earth, the gravel! It's all brilliant, and that really makes me happy :smile.gif: .
Other than that, it's the best texture pack I've ever seen. So yeah, a diamond block for you sir.
Hell yeah, 16x16 for the win! And many thanks, btw.

Again, I want to thank you for the work you do on this texture pack. I've looked at a few other texture packs, but there's something about yours that just seems to fit so well, for me.
I'm very much looking forward to see what other things you have in mind for your pack.

Might I ask what you did to make this cool-looking image?
Did you Photoshop it together from several screenshots? Is it made from a video pan? Or is there some sort of special program that you used?

Took 3 images (from left to right) then used photomerge in photoshop to stitch em together. Then messed with levels. curves and layer blend modes.

Did you make a tent?
I think Andre forgot to put the art in versions 1.7 and higher. I have the "art" folder from 1.6 if you'd like to include it.
Clicky
Just extract and put the art folder into the .zip file of the current version.
