I noticed in the OP that you stated you were interested in developing mod support...might I suggest RANDOM MOBS as one of the first you look into. I for one would LOVE a variety of cute and quirky Jolicraft animals in my minecraft world.

Wow, amazing texture pack. Although I would like a tool customizer and creeper customizer on the customize page. The sword looks like a bone... And also, I'm not a fan of the display bar including hunger and health, that area. If you could add the tool field, this would be the best texture pack I've seen.
