The only thing I'm not a fan of are the items...maybe its the white gui but some of the tools are hard to see what they are unless you hover you mouse over it. I mite edit the GUI later for personal preference to a darker color I'll let you know.
Let me just say that this Pack is awesome. I currently have an older version of this pack, and the download link does not work. Is there anyway you can put up a mirror link, or fix the original, or both.
I cannot get ANY texture packs to work. I assume because the update was yesterday maybe?
Anyway, I installed Jolicraft under the Textures section, but it won't show up under the Texture part when I launch Minecraft, why not?
Edit: No idea how, but it works now XD
It also is somehow my default now??

I don't need a signature.
I'm a vegetarian....but not in minecraft.
First off, thanks for this incredible pack, easily my favorite.
I just wanted to show off a little tweak I made to the bed frame... I was kind of disappointed that the beds overall seemed rather small and not very fit for my castle.
So I plunked the beds against some planks, and in terrain.png, simply copied over a bit of the plank texture to the bed frame texture. I think the effect looks a lot better, especially when the beds are doubled up:
Oh, now that I think about it, I think you forgot to put the art pack from 1.6 into 1.7 and 1.8. Still had 1.6 in my trash can, so I threw that back in too.
Hrm. I uploaded a modified terrain.png with the glass and iron door swaps I mentioned before, but now my post is missing. Posting it again.
Cool. I'll give some different flavors of download when the pack is 'done', but I'm sure folks will appreciate the alternate terrain in the meantime.

I like this pack. To be honest I'd rather have hearts than circles and the reticule/crosshair thing is.. well I don't like them usually anyway.
I love your house!

Those beds with the bottom frame look great when placed against the wood panel blocks. Good call!

I made a Biome Compatible version.
Enjooooy :biggrin.gif:
Looks good. But it's a little too 'default' feeling. Stay tuned for an official biome release. And I really hope the devs fix the sidegrass soon. Looks retarded having different hues of green next to each other.

Here I darkened the GUI's felt the items were to bright for such a white GUI. Tell me what you think?
If anyone wants darkened GUI's let me know and I'll upload it.
Cool. Updating the items is on my todo list btw. I'll sell you on the lighter gui yet!

Sorry, I know mediafire sucks for some folks (not me, I've never had a problem downloading). When the pack is in a somewhat stable state I'll provide several mirrors for download.

Something that may help with making the biome compliant version as interesting as possible considering the limitations:
The biome colors are essentially applied as an overlay layer. This means the texture doesn't necessarily have to be grayscale. If you use warm grays, it will play down greens in the normal biomes, and play up the browns in the desert biomes. If you use cold grays, it will do the opposite. If you make your color ramp go from warm or cold, or the other way around, you can get some interesting effects. It will certainly make the grass look less "default" and will provide some hueshifting.
hey, i saw someone had this problem 2 i cant download the texture pack. I click the download button but it just sais request being processed and reloads the page
can anyone help?

Now I only have one last question : can I find the default texture pack in zip format ?
Yes, it works fine for me.
If anyone wants darkened GUI's let me know and I'll upload it.

Yes, I did.
