It's because the 2 textures directly under the redstone wire are for redstone wire overlay (as in that texture will appear above the redstone wire, and not be affected by the red/black coloring, which by default is blank). and since there is filled in squares there, it's overlaying with that texture.
Not sure what to suggest. It's working fine for me.
ya yours works but in my video if you watched it all or noticed the stairs part for your texture pack it did that on only two stairs idk if it's just a bug or some way it was set up either way its amazing
I'm Kinda New to this (14 posts) and I'm not sure how to post pics. I fiddled around for a while and didn't get anywhere. I want to know so I can post pics of the hous homework (bit overdue I know..). If anyone can help I would greatly Appreciate it. Yes I like using Capital letters.

1.8 has some lighting issues that cause certain objects to go black. It's definitely not a missing texture--because the stairs use the texture from a normal block.

thanks, ya sometimes if i replace it again it'll be fixed
Love your pack, and have been using it for quite a long time now.
I do have a request that hopefully one day you may like- could you provide alternative UIs for the inventory/chests/furnaces/etc. that are about 20% darker.
Everytime you update the pack (aka everytime MC updates, and i love that you are always on-the-ball with updating this pack btw), I download it and then have to go and manually edit a few things- the menus being one of them. Maybe I'm the only one, but I think that others would probably like them too, because I've shown a few friends my alts and they love it too.
(Some other things that would be nice: Making spiders actually appear hostile when they are [I just tweak the eyes], an alt. for the lighter to be more like Flint&Steel, and any other options you ever feel like adding in order to truly add people's own spin onto such a beautiful thing)

JolliCraft is probably the best Texture pack out there.
Thanks for the suggestion. I checked it and although it's quite nice it suffers of what most hd texture packs do. It's too real and it lacks character. I mean joli looks like it was created like a single artwork. The look of every single texture is designed having the rest of them in mind so all of them have the same feel and same amount of detail . Also i admire how Andre can make the most out of each single pixel so that every pixel is there because it fits.
Thanks! And I feel the same way about the HD packs, they're too real looking, which makes no sense in the world of Minecraft. Like, when there's too much detail on the blocks it makes minecraft feel like a cheap low polygon version of a modern game, not a purposefully-lowres-retro game. Minecraft was made for 16p textures. It wasn't a mistake or oversight, and that's why I think they don't include HD support built in. The entire mood of the game revolves around the low resolution both of the world and the textures. When you're using an HD pack it doesn't feel like you're in a weird retro world made of pixels, it feels like you're in a world of cardboard boxes with detailed pictures on the sides. And suddenly the magic is gone. Amirightoramiright?
when i say smoother i mean basically more like smp's creeper and zombies. actually dont worry it would to much effort to please a small amount of people
Are you aware that you can use http://www.minecraftcustomizer.net to pick and choose which textures you want? You could make a custom jolicraft with smp's mobs, if you were so inclined. :wink.gif:
How much so do you think Jolicraft has helped to promote your paid artwork, just out of curiosity? (:
I've been on your site, and I love your art style.
Oh not much. I get lots of visitors now, but not many customers. andrejolicoeur.com is my personal artwork site, so I guess I seek fame rather than fortune :wink.gif:.
EDIT: I should say that I get lots of print orders now that I'm sure I wouldn't otherwise. But the prints aren't overly lucrative.
Heh me too! It's a great distraction from boring projects :tongue.gif:
That's a sweet pumpkin! I actually was going to make an alt with pretty much that exact same carved face. Get outta my brain!
I'm using this terrain
But the redstone shows up as this...
Any ideas?

u mad?
The new stone bricks that were released when you make them into stairs, part of the texture is broken. Thought i'd throw that out there.
heres a pic:
Aw. What a beautiful portrait you drew of me. I shall treasure it always!
You're using an old version of Jolicraft. Download the newest, it's working properly :wink.gif:

I would like a red/orange giant mushroom though, to match the small ones.

I'm not sure I understand. What does making a mob look more smooth mean?
