Just a heads up, minecraftcustomizer.net isn't working properly right now. I'm not able to upload any new textures, I'm getting errors for every new texture I try to upload. Hopefully it's temporary. I have all my textures ready to go and upload so as soon as I'm able I'll get them into the customizer and let you know when they're ready!
If you're curious what they're going to look like, or if you have the skills to replace them yourself, check out the terrain_alts.png file from my alts zip. Get it here.
Jolicraft already has a custom title page background. :smile.gif:
And a few alternate options in my alts zip :wink.gif:. They're not as successful as the final one I stuck with, but the checker one is kinda cool if you liked the old jolicraft menu background.
I love this texture pack, especially the color choices :biggrin.gif: The only thing I don't like is the diamond and gold armors (different leather armor would be nice too, but it's quite nice looking and stylish). I know this pack has quite a bit of silliness to it, but I would like to see some actual armors instead of looking like a pimp in an adventure game. Anyway, not asking for you to change the default armors, but could you make some alternate diamond and gold armor (and possibly leather) for the adventuring types? Even just recoloring the iron armor to diamond and gold variants would work well I think. Although I would like to see what you come up with if you were to make all new alternate textures for them.

Did you take the panorama shots by hand? It seems like it would be hard to get all the shots to line up properly without a program that takes 6 shots at exact 90 degree angles.
hey andre for the panorama do you take 6 screenshtos in a 360 degree rotation
or just 6 screenshots of random places?
HOW TO MAKE A 360 PANORAMIC MINECRAFT INTRO
Here's the gist:
1. MAKE YOUR MINECRAFT WINDOW AS CLOSE TO SQUARE AS YOU CAN. You can take screenshots and check their size. It doesn't need to be perfect, but it makes it easier down the road.
2. PICK A SPOT. Pick somewhere that has good 360 degree interest, including looking down. The camera looks at the ground every now and then so it's boring to stand somewhere flat. Choose a cliff or a ledge or the top of a tree.
* steps 3, 4, and 5 should be done fairly quickly, so the clouds and sun don't move too much.
3. TAKE YOUR FIRST SHOT. Look in a single direction. When I say direction, I mean that you have to look exactly straight along the blocks of minecraft itself. Since minecraft is a big grid it shouldn't be hard to figure out how to look along a parallel line with the blocks of the world. Vertically you need to look directly at the horizon. Look at the pngs included in my zip for examples. Make sure you like the composition of your first shot the best, it's what you see immediately when you login to Minecraft. Take your first shot with F2.
4. TAKE YOUR SECOND AND THIRD SHOT. The next 2 shots will be of the ground and sky. Look DIRECTLY up. As good as you can. I use the clouds to orient myself and make sure I'm parallel with the grid of the world. Take your shot. Then look directly down. Make sure you don't change your orientation, you just want to vertically swing the camera down to take a square-on shot of directly below you. It's a bit tricky to get the angles right without loosing your place, just do as good as you can. It's blurry in the end so don't worry, a little error is forgivable :wink.gif:
5. TAKE YOUR FINAL 3 SHOTS. The next 3 shots should happen by keeping your crosshair on the horizon and turning your body 90 degrees. Each turn you should be parallel with the grid of the world. Each time you take your screenshot make sure that you're looking exactly at the horizon.
6. RENAME YOUR SHOTS, MAKE THEM 256x256, TEST THEM. This process isn't technically perfect. It's just how I did it. It seemed to work pretty good. I had some successes and some failures. I think eventually someone will create a mod that'll let you choose your place and automatically take proper screenshots with the right angles and FOV. Til then, try this and be ready for some trial & error.

Awesome! Looking forward to it. I also meant to mention that the original paintings in this pack are the best I've seen in a texture pack yet.
Until new armor is added, does anyone know of a tool that will let you take parts of one texture pack and mix it into another? I remember seeing something like this awhile ago, but I'm currently having trouble finding such a tool.

Hey Andre, if you make an alt for leather armor maybe you could make the helmet look like an old gatsby cap? I think it'd look pretty stylin' with the rest of your pack's look! Loving the food textures, it all looks so delicious!
You're an amazing artist, Andre. :smile.gif: Been reading your blog and looking at your website, and I'm just blown away by everything you do.
I would love to see more paintings of yours in Jolicraft. Perhaps using the More Paintings mod. It's a small touch that makes the game that much more enjoyable, especially since the Jolicraft paintings are your own. :smile.gif:
You should make the endermen wear a quirky suit and tie, so to keep true to the original story of slenderman(which endermen are based off of), and keep true to the quirky feel of your texture pack.
I don't much like the striped prison uniform they currently have.
Also, this might be of use: Custom Title Page Backgrounds

Well said. I definitely will.

Four are a panorama, the fifth and sixth are the sky and ground. If you're familiar with skyboxes, it's pretty much what it is.

Just to chip in again, when it comes to panoramas, this program will change your life: http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/groups/ivm/ICE/
Just drag in the shots and it lines them up, and even has a button to auto-crop them.
ok dokey skybox time!

WinRAR and Paint.NET
Was getting ready to edit some in photoshop, then realized I could just replace the .png's for those armor sets. I was over-thinking it...I think
