Ok, so I dont post here very often, but I was combining the two Poke'craft texture packs and i was fiddling with the terrian.png. I got it how i wanted it, but when i went in game the torches and plants all had white around it.

I noticed that when i saved the image, it said i was going to lose transparency. I didnt think much of it and continued anyways. I was using paint by the way. I also couldnt see out of glass.

How do I fix this? Also I dont plan on distributing the pack its just for my own personal use.

You need to use a paint program that lets you edit alpha channels, such as Photoshop.

Is there anything out there free and easy to use to do it real qiuck?

A program called the GIMP will let you do it. It's as free as can be. There are other options. I don't know them though...

Is it safe to use? I mean i just want to edit i this for like one time maybe.

Safe? I don't know what unsafe scenarios you've brewed in your head. It's "safe" I guess. If you don't want to download something there's web browser based image editors like SumoPaint

Gimp is extremely safe and respectable and nearly as feature packed as Photoshop. All my texture pack was made using Gimp.

You could also try Paint.net too, that's free. Good luck! :smile.gif:

Yeah, GIMP is really safe. But I suggest using Paint.net, it's alot more simpler.
