I like both, however I do like the look of option 1 more. Its hard to gauge which one is more "like" Zelda though. As option 1 reminds me of Kokiri Forest. And option 2 reminds me of Lon Lon Ranch and the area around it.
Thanks for the quick responses, but which one would YOU prefer when playing
ALSO maybe should I just brighten the first option, and make it a middle color between both options?
Honestly, there was nothing very stylistic or memorable about the grass from Ocarina of Time. Also, I don't remember it having quite that much contrast. Remember, textures were often stretched over polygons and were filtered because of it, looking quite a bit more blurry in-game. Might want to take that into consideration when trying to replicate the look of the game.

How would you recommend to create this Blur kind of feel?
Also, I am using Paint.Net

Depends on what resolution you're working with. Simplest thing to try would be lowing the contrast and running a blur on it(gaussian, maybe).

Thanks so much for the help! Minecraft forum is so Helpful :biggrin.gif:
I ended up resizing it very large, then shrinking it retaining the blur.
Make sure you keep back-ups :smile.gif: I'm not saying that it will look better, as I haven't seen it. So it may not, but I think that the blurry filtering has a lot to do with some of the look on the large expanses of terrain, like grass.

Much appreciated!

Both. Modify the biome so that the darker one is in the forest biome, and the lighter one is in the field biome.
Right, being quite the noob, how would I do that?
Sorry for being so "Nooby", but I have not played minecraft long
Also, Good work on the skyward sword pack!
You can find a map somewhere on the form. I can not do much tonight, but tommorow i would be more than happy to make a custom biome .png for you.
Side note: I'm not 100% sure there is a "field" biome.
There's a plain biome.
I'm asking you, as a friend... Just...put an end to me.
