I'm glad it's helped! :3 Also, if you haven't already done this and you remember where the diamond was, be sure to clear out a 3x3x3 area of stone around it to make sure there weren't any other diamonds nearby hidden diagonally!
This will no longer work in Beta 1.5 as with the new OPENGL engine blocks will only be rendered when you CAN see them. I think even Xray Mods wont work without overlay
I am currently using this and can confirm that it does work with 1.5.
You can't use it to find rare iron/gold/diamond deposits anymore, but the game still loads the miscellaneous dungeons and areas with lava so you can still go search for mob spawners and the reward chests!

10/10, you both scared the hell out of me. I can assure you, the texture pack still works exactly the same way it did before; just got done checking to make sure for myself. Again, the texture pack still works just as it always has. Aside from one quick thing I noticed while checking out caves and such for coal, iron, etc. Update coming momentarily.
To everyone: I'm considering adding transparency to some blocks that have long been solid/only featured minute amounts of added transparency. Please quote this to let me know how you'd feel if the following blocks were made partially transparent.
Dispensers, lapis lazuli, iron, gold and diamond blocks - About 50% transparent - Add transparency/Keep them solid
Workbenches, furnaces, jukeboxes and note blocks - About 80% transparent - Add transparency/Keep them solid
Glowstone - About 90% transparent - Add transparency/Keep them solid
By lapis lazuli, iron, gold and diamond blocks, I mean the solid-colored blocks you end up with when you combine nine of the appropriate items, not the ores. Also, if you think I should add/remove transparency to some degree on a block or item that's already been modified, please let me know!
Oh, and, ahh.. A minor news thing. I had plans for making this texture pack more along the lines of "partially transparent" instead of "some parts of some blocks are 100% transparent while others are 100% solid," but after messing around with partial transparency curves for awhile, it turns out that Minecraft isn't capable of rendering blocks in that way- at least not without modifying your client. At an alpha curve of 26 and above, everything's as solid as ever; at 25 and below, everything's 100% transparent, with the exception of water and lava.
In short, I no longer plan on rereleasing this pack featuring partial transparency since it doesn't seem to be possible without a modified client.
They sure do! It's to help cut down on thievery since the majority of player-made creations in SMP feature the use of cobblestone, oftentimes to a great degree.
NEAR PERFECTION! and i love that you WANT feedback from the people who use the texture pack themself, great job the only thing i have to complain about is the night vision pumpkin disapointment and moss cobble is still moss cobble i see how you made it easier to find the caves but the moss cobble could be a different color. like this perhaps oh and one thing that would help is to make pumpkins more visible if you didn't already
Hehe, thank you, and it's a funny story, mossy cobblestone actually used to be like that several months ago and I forgot all about it! I'll have it changed back within the hour. As for pumpkins, what's up with their visibility? Do you mean being able to see wild patches of them growing in the environment or how much visibility the player has at night when wearing one?
This doesn't seem to work for me. I have used other textue packs, and they work, but when I compress this one(or any other x-ray vision pack, it shows up in the mods and texture pack button in-game, but it is in black and white and there is no change from the default one. I have a mac.
The reason for this is because I think it won't show up in-game, but when I compress it, is becomes a .zip, and just doesn't function as it should.
Huh. I wish I could help, but aside from googling links about how to install texture packs on macs, there's not really anything I can do. Stupid question, but have you already checked the readme.txt or the link in the first post leading to that one thread with instructions on how to do that?

Yeah, it said it was outdated, but I read it anyway =)
Also, I have been youtubing my ass off, and all of them are like, computer geniuses, and seem not to encounter any problems like mine >=0. Anyway, thanks for the help, I'll check out the link again....but the readme.txt? I'll look around for that.
I hate to double post, but I read that readme and the link, and still can't figure it out. Just a quick question....Am I supposed to compress it to a .zip?
On mine, I just download them as is- in other words, once I've downloaded a texture pack in a .zip, I don't have to do anything with it but cut and paste it into the texturepacks folder if I didn't download it to that location already. On a mac, I'm not really sure what to do since I've never owned one before. Sorry, I wish I could help more than that, but that's all I can do.
That's fine, sorry to be a pain =(. Anyway, thanks for spending your time to make theses packs, it must be tough. I'll keep on trying to get this one right, it looks like a sweet pack lol.
