When it comes to using this pack for TFC, you should always use the latest version of the pack - so even though TFC is played in 1.6.x, you should use the latest version of SC for 1.7.x. Thanks for reminding me of that, though - I'll make a note of this in the OP.

Searching amongst all the TFC and odd babble about quoting, I may have missed it. With this pack be updatable for 1.8? I know a lot of people are saying they way they have made blocks that its not a probability any more. Sorry If I missed a previous comment about this and you are having to type it again.

I got this pack when I first started Minecraft, and not long after I started getting into a certain game series and its fandom. And after spending a long time obsessed with this certain fandom, only now have I just realized what this pack has been a reference to the whole time.
How do I put it... I feel like such a ⑨.
Anyways, great texture pack! It does drop my framerate by a noticeable amount though, but my terrible computer is the one to blame.
Hey, I used to use your texturepack all the time. It really helped me out. But when 1.8 came out I had some problems... The stone block is completely black and some of the dirt blocks are black with green dots in the middle (sand has same problem too). Also granite and all that is completely solid. I'm not sure if its my computer or what. But could you help?
Oh, so 1.8's finally out. Nah, that's not your computer - that's how 1.8 treats transparency in most blocks, as an anti-x-ray-resource-pack measure. I'll get to work on learning more about that soon, and if there's a way to work with it so that strongestcraft still has x-ray capabilities, you can bet I'll include it. I have a few ideas on how to make this work, but I'll need to test them out first and look up ideas I haven't thought of to find out which ones work at all, and of those methods, which one works the best.
Looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Your texture pack has been incredibly valuable in many of my builds, Eraiya. Aligning redstone and tunnels in particular. I don't see why Mojang would deliberately break transparent texture packs- Minecraft is about so much more than competitive play on servers, and this would really complicate creative builds for a lot of people.

Why you say about 1.8?
because eventually, mods will update to 1.8, like terrafirmiacraft, the aether 2, etc.

That's odd; it does on my end. Could you try creating a single player world, going into creative mode, using a propick or some other method of finding ores, then taking a screenshot of what ores look like while using the latest version of my resource pack, please?
So pack doesn't show closed ores (closely surrounded by rocks)...
