Ah, my bad; the last time I updated it for the Aether was in 2012, so the format for the Aether textures is definitely different by now. That's the next major thing I'll work on.
Ah, my bad; the last time I updated it for the Aether was in 2012, so the format for the Aether textures is definitely different by now. That's the next major thing I'll work on.
If you have any ideas to make it even better, please let me know.
I don't wasnt to make this sound like im complaining but it was nicer when you could see water easier and it wasn't as clear as it is now, so it would be cool if it was a little darker.
Another idea I had in mind was I heard the purpose for the new resource packs were so you could have new sound and I though maybe you would be able to make a sound to know creepers are near.
Why don't people use nodus instead if they want to cheat so bad
The majority of servers I've played on that installed anti-cheating mods/plugins only added ones that block cheating clients, like Nodus, zombe's, etc. For years after this texture/resource pack's release, I'd never found a server that had mods/plugins that block x-ray texture packs; to this day, I've only found 2, and I only encountered them this year, in 2013 - that should help give you an idea of how uncommon they are. Then again, I haven't played regularly in many months, so maybe anti-cheating mods/plugins that block x-ray resource packs are more common now; who knows.
Also, it's not all about cheating - check out the benefits in the OP. Much of it is for testing things in single player, testing things in multiplayer and server moderation/administration.

It's cool, you're not complaining - this is exactly the kind of thing I'd like to hear feedback on. Sure, I'll try to do this in the next update. Water has always been a finnicky texture - from 2010 until 2012, maybe even up to early 2013, you could edit it all you wanted in the terrain.png, but none of the changes you made would take effect, UNLESS you used a 3rd party program like MCPatcher or something like that to force the changes to appear - but I think it's no longer as insanely tedious to edit as it used to be.
Another idea I had in mind was I heard the purpose for the new resource packs were so you could have new sound and I though maybe you would be able to make a sound to know creepers are near.
I'm not sure about that. Off the top of my head, I assume I could only do this if there was already a sound file in the game that activates whenever a creeper is nearby. For example, players activate an audio clip whenever they walk around - the sound of their own footsteps. However, I'm not sure creepers have that, so I don't think there's any way for me to do this. If there is, I'll at least look up a YouTube video of how to modify it, but don't expect anything to come from this; there's a 99% chance I won't be able to do this.
With strongestcraft 1.6 when you get set on fire it is really hard to see and I was thinking you might be able to make it easier to see and still be able to see fire on the ground easily.
I've recently noticed on horses their life bar has no texture so it turns pink (kind of like how cocoa beans were when it wasn't updated) and I was wondering if you could make a texture for that (also their jumping bar doesn't show).
Time to go fix it and hope that that never happens again. Though, since I have no idea what caused this, I'm powerless to do anything to prevent it from happening again.
Edit: Fixed all of it but the ridiculously long - and pointless - change log.
NTS:
Add horse health + jumping bar
Make water more visible
Work on fire textures
Work on the Aether
Something that annoys me so much is I see a dark block in the distance and get really excited so I walk over to it just to find out it's a crafting table and not a chest. So if you could maybe highlight chests in light green or maybe something bright or noticable (maybe not blinking) because emerald is also neon green. And it annoys me to make my posts sound like they are a complaint again.
It's fine. If they are complaints, what's important is that they're valid and helpful.
However, the solution you proposed would not work - chest blocks would still be solid black from a distance, and even up close, until you placed a torch nearby; only then would they turn green. You'd have to get close enough to them to place that light source there, putting you in the exact same situation you are now - having to get within a single digit number of blocks to find out that it wasn't the one you thought it was. That's why I use different shapes when it comes to coal, iron, etc. instead of solid black for coal, solid beige for iron, etc; they would all appear to be diamonds, all the time, until lit up by a light source. That only annoys people more and more every time it happens.
What I'll do about this: change the texture for crafting tables and furnaces so they'll be different and chests will still be solid.
NTS:
Add horse health + jumping bar
Change crafting table, fire and furnace textures
Make water more visible

No problem! It's fine; I'm sure you haven't played it for the final time in your life. It's only a matter of time until you'll have access to it again.

Yeah, that's my bad; I've been lazy and haven't updated that in a long time.
What I'm working on
9/6/2013 - A bunch of GUI stuff. Due to Jeb/Dinnerbone renaming hundreds of files, (For example, "enchant" to "enchanting_table"), they were no longer being registered by Minecraft. You'd open your inventory, and instead of it being transparent and you being able to detect creepers walking up to you, it'd be your normal, solid inventory screen, all because of file names being changed.
And then there's the matter of GUI screens that have been added over the past two or so years that I didn't bother adding transparency to. Well, I'm getting to that now, and I don't think I'll be satisfied until every single GUI screen has at least *some* added level of transparency.
Don't wanna jinx it, but I think I finished the GUI folder.
The three versions of SC have been updated! Changes include,
Made a new version of SC for casual/first time users. Changes include making grass, dirt and stone completely solid/normal-looking. It's much easier on the eyes.
Made brewing stand, brewing stand base, brick, cake bottom, cake inner, cake side, cake top, cauldron bottom, cauldron inner, cauldron side, cauldron top, cobblestone, furnace front off, furnace front on, furnace side, furnace top, mushroom brown and mushroom red 16x16 instead of 64x64
Made crafting table front, crafting table side and crafting table top about 50% transparent
Made fire shorter. It's still very easily visible when it's on the ground, but when you're on fire, there'll only be 1 line of pixels at the very bottom of your screen, to let you know that fire is what's damaging you.
Made furnace front off, furnace front on, furnace side and furnace top about 25% transparent
Made horse health + jumping bars visible
Made mushrooms about 50% larger
Made water about 50% more visible
Updated about 30 GUI files, making them transparent in places where it will help
Enjoy! Got some suggestions? Let me know!
NTS:
Make sand - and possibly gravel - completely solid/normal-looking in the casual version of SC.
Work on the Aether!
It's okay - I forgive you. There are times where even I'll judge things after only a quick glance at them, forming assumptions about them that aren't true, too.
The scheduled maintenance has ended; users can now post in this thread again.
What I'm working on
9/20/2013 - A bunch of GUI stuff. This time, it's specifically for the Aether. There are roughly as many gui images to edit here as there are in default Minecraft - about 30.
The three versions of SC have been updated! Changes include,
Did pretty much everything that needed to be done with the aether; if you have recommendations to make blocks/menu GUIs/anything at all more solid or more transparent, let me know
Made dirt 32x instead of 64x in the normal and F&MF versions; it's still 16x in the casual version
Made sand completely solid/normal in the casual version
Enjoy! Got some suggestions? Let me know!

Curse PremiumPeople use this because Nodus is detectable and texture packs aren't so its nice to easily find supplies on servers.
