Created a separate version of SC for finding nether fortresses
Discontinued SCP since 64x performs equally well or better in every way
Gave cocoa beans their own countdown timer
Made dispensers more sinister to distinguish them from the upcoming droppers
Made emerald ore a little more solid/visible
Made end stone a little more solid/visible
Made fire much more visible for users who have fire animations disabled via optifine or other mods
Made birch, jungle and spruce logs 2x as transparent since they're always evenly distributed in predictable places; oak logs have been left alone, due to their unpredictable placements in large oak trees
Made mushrooms about 50% larger
Made mycelium much more solid/visible
Made netherrack bricks 2x as transparent due to the existence of SC64, Nether Fortress Finder
Made nether portals a little more solid/visible for users who have nether portal animations disabled via optifine or other mods
Made nether wart's background colours different based on what stage of growth it's in
Made spider webs a little more uniform
Enjoy! Got some suggestions? Let me know about 'em!
And, because I'm pretty sure there's no rule against linking to one of your own threads at the end of your posts like a secondary signature, here's a link to around 10 insane custom maps I've created, one of which is an EXTREMELY large survival/exploration/puzzle/adventure/optional multiplayer/etc. map with over two hundred hours of content, guaranteed! http://www.minecraft...ated-july-10th/
Cut both versions of SC down to about 1/3rd their previous size by deleting unnecessary files.

Consider the chunk of land your character is currently standing in as the center of a 3x3 area of 9 chunks. There's very nearly a 100% chance that there are several deposits of ores beneath this area. You make it sound like there isn't a single ore to be found in your average 10x10 area of chunks when that simply isn't true at all.
now i'm not going to complain, i like this pack but just for future reference a chunk is not a single block of land going all the way down, a chink is actually 16 blocks on each side going from bedrock to sky, still a great texture pack but i just had to correct that
I appreciate the input, but I never said nor even implied that a chunk is a 1x1x256 area. I've known that a chunk is a 16x16x256 area for more than two years now. Thanks for the response, though!
Edit: Looking back on my quote there: "very nearly" a 100% chance? Nah, unless other players came in with something like zombe's or Nodus and mined out every ore in that area, there definitely is a 100% chance of there being several deposits of ores in that 3x3 grid of chunks. Taking it a step further, there's definitely a 100% chance of there being several deposits of ore in every single naturally formed chunk in all of Minecraft, except ones that have been completely destroyed or mined out through 10+ hours of time and effort. Man, was I being generous with how I phrased that in the past.
I am going to download this becouse it looks awsome but mostly just becouse I noticed on almost every reply you were super nice to people witch I think is awsome .
Dark - Absolutely, yeah. You'd always think you're digging 200 blocks to mine what *might* be diamonds off in the distance, but once you mine 'em, they turn out to be something else. That'd happen 95% of the time if all ores had the same texture. That's all drawbacks, no benefits.
Jackel - Thanks! Yep, this is customized to work on Tekkit servers, too.
All four main adf.ly links are working for me. The only difference is, without changing anything about how my ABP works, it's blocked more of the layout. However, after the 5-6 seconds or so, the "SKIP AD" button still shows up and works for me.
I do like your texture pack, I used to use it myself. But a note to anyone wanting to use this on multiplayer: Don't. Unless the server allows it, all you are doing is getting yourself banned and wasting 10 minutes of an admin's time. But as for singleplayer applications, like finding dungeons and such, have at it.
