Well, I can assure you that it's not from the texture pack itself. Multiplayer servers literally have no way whatsoever of magically hijacking your computer, rooting through your files and folders, then figuring out what texture pack you are currently using in Minecraft. I usually use words like "usually," "probably" and "almost certainly" to avoid lumping things into 0%/100% categories, but let me be firm on this. It is absolutely impossible for a multiplayer server to have an understanding of what texture pack you're using.
That said, if you've been using Strongestcraft to dig perfectly straight 1x[x length]x2 tunnels to deposits of ores, the mods and admins of that server don't need magic technology from the future to figure out what's happening. If a mod or admin teleports to you while you're doing that, (Or they're not there at the moment, but later on, once you've logged off, they discover the tunnels and use LogBlock or BigBrother to see who modified those blocks), it'll be clear to them that you're using an x-ray texture pack or an x-ray mod, based on the shapes of tunnels and where they lead. From there, what happens next is up to them.
Or you might've been banned for something else entirely, who knows. In any case, I hope everything works out well for you!

Eraiya went above and beyond once again to explain exactly how this texture pack works. It seems however, that those who simply want to use it to cheat will never learn. Why? Because they are so focused on cheating & shortcuts, that they don't take the time to actualy READ information already provided.
@ LeagueoFminecraft- There are servers that autoban xray/fly/item hack/etc mods for a reason. They want to provide an EQUAL opportunity for all server members. As a moderator on a small international server, I use this and other mods because they are allowed, and they assist me in daily needs. As a player on a much larger playerbase server where this, and other mods are not allowed, I simply don't use them, and have no issues with the server mods/admins.
The choice is always yours of course, but I guarantee that the server mods are smarter than you, and will eventually catch you (again).
@ Eraiya- You have provided a tool that used responsibly, is invaluable. Unfortunately, trolls like the quoted user above, as well as those that simply post to complain about "omg! xray hax", greatly outweigh responsible/mature users of this texture pack.
While I understand your natural inclination to defend your work, I feel it would be prudent to not explain in detail how cheaters might be detected in SMP. Not only will this help keep the cheaters from abusing it, but the complainers will see that you aren't "helping" the cheaters find a workaround. If they aren't competent enough to read information already provided numerous times, or use something resposibly, they deserve any and all concequences for their actions.

If an update to Minecraft comes out which requires that I update Strongestcraft, I'll resume work on this texture pack once I've replaced these parts in my computer. 10/2, 12:45 P.M: Made coal, iron, gold, redstone and lapis lazuli ores thicker so they're easier to spot, made clay thicker so it's easier to spot, made all colors of cloth blocks thicker so they're easier to distinguish from other blocks and made mossy stronghold bricks and cracked stronghold bricks 100% solid again to make strongholds much easier to find.
Oddly enough, I haven't had StongestCraft on while near a stronghold since this update, but assume this is still accurate. :tongue.gif:

Awesome pack man huuuuge fan of this texture! (plus this thread makes great reading for the luls as well). Anyway, I used your pack to collect a bunch of awesome stuff (including my first ever 'legit' cookies) but I turned around one day to find that my treasure had been stolen no doubt by another user with a similar pack!
Great texture pack! You might want to edit the "Hiding Chests" part, as it does no longer work with the 1.8 update.
I noticed you mentioned this before but then it was removed from the FAQ or something. I would be interested in your thoughts and strategies.
P.S. everyone complaining about adfly should quit whining. has the internet made you so soft you refuse to wait five seconds for anything anymore? This dude has done some amazing work and deserves to be rewarded, however small.
Thank you very much! Unfortunately, due to Notch reducing the size of chests in 1.8 so that there's a sort of "pocket of air" around them even when completely surrounded on all sides, there's no longer anything that can be done to hide chests from people using x-ray texture packs such as this one.
Great news! Despite the previous title, it seems like there haven't been any changes/additions to blocks in terrain.png, where most additions are added. As far as I know, once again, there wasn't anything to update; however, I could be wrong. If you notice anything that seems like it needs to be updated, let me know and I'll update it. Dark - They're already about as visible as it gets. If you have a *specific suggestion* for how to make them more visible, read the F.A.Q first, and if your suggestion still applies, post it here and I'll see what I can do!
Future - No problem! It's secretly been updated for 1.0 this whole time, I've just been bad about renaming the thread title + download link appropriately. To permanently solve this problem, instead of titling the thread "[16x][v1.9!]" or whatever, I've decided to just name it "[16x][Latest version!]" Same with the download link.

This is not really a cheating mod. It helps me in my adminposition to see through mountains and make some tunnels for rails. Also you can manage the Citybuildregions where Noone is allowed to build Cellars out of the Boundarys. THIS is what i use that Pack for.
