I was torn between having it remain a solid block and having much more transparency added to it due to the way it forms underground in large quantities on servers running mcMMO, so I eventually changed it to the way it stands today.

I just tested it myself and it works for me. If you've never used an adf.ly link before, don't mind, just click the "skip ad" button in the top right corner to proceed to the download link. Sorry for the inconvenience!
i think this txture pack is a good idea but i dont realy like the way some things look so im going to edit it myself. Thx for making it tho it makes my life a whole lot easier.

You're using an adfly link for your main screenshot ("after")? That's pretty gross... Using adfly links for your download is one thing (still pretty lame), but using it for screenshots is lame as hell.
Why don't you just upload your pictures to the forums? Because it doesn't make you pennies a day?
Cole - If you've only edited terrain.png, make sure you maintain the standard 256x256 size of the picture. Personally, I've never gotten into making texture packs that require using a mod- and I hope that I never do, since I don't want to limit people in whether they can or can use them- but I think that that's all you have to do: just maintain the standard size. I hope this helped!

However, we're not allowed to double post to bump our own threads, so once I've made a post, whether or not people see this is outside my control.
In other words, I have to rely on other people posting in the thread to keep it on page one for awhile. Realizing that a large number of posts were coming from people insulting me for using adf.ly links- like your post, for example- I understood that without people like you coming into my thread to flame me, I wouldn't be able to help as many people as I would be able to otherwise. And on that note, thanks for playing your role! By flaming me, you've indirectly helped other people! As a token of gratitude, I'll refrain from reporting that post.

after using the texture for a while iv gorwn to like it the more i use it so i decded to just use the original

Those aren't texture packs, those are actually modifications to the client they're using. My texture pack simply edits the appearance of various things- what they're using involves modifying lines of code to change how the game renders blocks on your screen. My texture pack offers only edited images, not edited lines of code; it cannot be toggled on/off while in-game.
"Can you make it so that the game shows lava/water blocks when you're underneath them/at their sides?"
Unfortunately, no; tying in with the above, that would involve modifying lines of code. It's impossible for me to make my texture pack reveal lava/water from the sides and underneath if those sides aren't in direct contact with air. Fortunately, however, you should be able to tell that lava is there due to how the area is lit up, not to mention that lava and water are impossible to miss as you're descending from the surface to the caverns below you since you'll be able to see them from the top. For more information on this, please read the lava safety guide in the first post of this thread.

Tying in with both questions above, that isn't possible for me to do. Again, that would involve editing lines of code, and that would make this a mod, not a texture pack. For most of the same reasons I plan on never making this texture pack require something like ModLoader for ease of use, I also plan on never making an x-ray mod.

If you look at the after pictures it is to the left of the red checkered block. They have a black stripe.
