I wouldn't mind that as long as you give credit and link back here, but you might want to know that at least two other people have mixed those packs already. You may want to check out their work and make sure that your own pack is different enough to merit its own post. =)
Thank you!
Do you by any chance know what these texture packs are named?
Aside from that, there's Korimito's Gritty Portal, which you already mentioned. I'm sure there are more versions, but they're hiding around in various places.
It should totally be added to the real game, though. I'm just waiting for it...
EDIT: 1.6 will be coming out later this week. I'll try and update the pack quicker than I did last time, since now I've figured out the whole back-up thing.
The red button is a wood pressure plate, it is built like this: =pressure plate =block =Redstone dust
The power goes through the block and into the redstone when activated :smile.gif:
Redstone on the wall is a mod.
Oh, it's a wood plate? Then all the wood would look funny...And for the redstone, I meant the one on the left, it seems to be going into the wall.
I have an idea! What if web could be textured to look like the gooey stuff in portal? If you fall from up high and land in web, you still get hurt when you touch the ground. But then you would have to hack in the web.

Chickens are spawning in my house! Help! PLEASE!
Your house has been compromised therefore you must blow it to hell.
UPDATE to 1.6: THIS PATCH WILL BREAK YOUR DUNGEONS. A LOT. Sorry, but it needed to happen, and NO I will not be changing it back.
Hatches have replaced the mossy cobblestone grate texture, so the mossy cobblestone was changed to be the old "fling" texture for both packs. Precisely Portal sandstone defaulted to normal for now (but will probably change later if I get a good idea for it), and dirt and cobblestone were switched so you won't sound like you're walking on dirt in dungeons. Shrubs were added, but the textures for them will change in a later update (I'm too busy to do that right now). I couldn't make a map in 1.6 for some reason... so who knows what that texture's doing. It'll probably come later on as well.
So when you go through your dungeons, you'll need to keep a look out for: Sandstone, cobblestone, dirt, mossy cobblestone, and fences (lava burns them in the new patch). That's basically any floor or wall you have in place. Sorry! Big changes, but they're totally worth it. [I broke my own dungeon, too. So don't come whining to me... I still changed it]
For the Cobblestone/Dirt swap, I've found a pretty good fix.
If you have MCEdit, load that up and open the map with your dungeon in it. Select your entire dungeon, hit the "Fill and Replace" button, select "Cobblestone." Then click on "Replace" and select "Stone." It should say in the box: "Find Cobblestone, replace with Stone." You hit enter, and it will find all the Cobblestone in your dungeon and replace it with stone.
Now, in my map, I used dirt to mark areas where the player should fire their portals. So after I did the above step, I put in "Find Dirt, replace with Cobblestone," so that I could keep that texture where it needs to be.
MCEdit is just a fantastic program to have for map-making if you don't have it already.

hello again carlotta, i have made a sequel to my test-craft map and i was wondering if you would like to test it out, i modified your texture pack for the map to make it seem more rustic, im about half-way done so if you would like to check it out here it is :biggrin.gif: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/220004-portal-test-craft-2-labyrinth-tex/
MCEdit, load that up and open the map with your dungeon in it. Select your entire dungeon, hit the "Fill and Replace" button, select "Cobblestone."
Very good solution. I thought that would probably work, but I actually haven't used MCEdit myself yet so I wasn't entirely sure. I highly suggest you dungeon makers follow this process for the 1.6 update. It'll make it MUCH easier.
This is only available in the Precisely Portal pack. Dirt and Stone. One goes on top of the other and gives the appearance of two block high walls (I'll add that to the frequently asked questions next time I update).
You should skin trees soon. Maybe you could make the logs look more artificially made by putting little probes on them.
I don't think so. Portal has real trees and real plants, and this pack will as well. If you want an entirely mechanical world, I suggest looking up a tron pack or something.
No. This pack isn't specifically either. Although it may lean more towards Portal 1, I include whatever important elements from Portal 2 that are specific enough and interesting enough (like the wheatley core and such). If you have any specific suggestions that you'd like to see added, you'll need to post them seperately.
UPDATE: Beta 1.7 Pistons and shears (as well as the map that I somehow left off of 1.6).
Pistons will be a great addition to your dungeons, guys, so I highly suggest giving them a thorough go-over. I sure know that I'm replacing all my wool fire-released platforms with pistons now.
Do you by any chance know what these texture packs are named?
Precisely Portalcraft
Portal 2 Textures
Portal Gun Blue (not directly altered from this pack, but a portal pack nonetheless)

What's the red button? Is that redstone (if it is redstone) going into the wall?

I'm more afraid to update now...
Never fear. =)

I would like to test it out, but unfortunately I do not have time to do so at the moment ...maybe in two weeks (life is crazy busy right now).
there are portal 2 texture packs out there you just need to look.
