The file appears in the "run thing, but how do i make it appear in the actual minecraft?
Also i cant find the link to the banner.
If you followed my steps exactly it should appear in minecraft already (basically you're just moving the folder into the minecraft files. There are multiple ways to do this, but the one I listed in the OP should be the most specific for people new to texture packs).
How to add the texture packs:
1. Download the zip file.
2. Use your computer's search function ("find" or "search") and type in "Run"
3. Open run and type: %appdata%/.minecraft/texturepacks
4. Drag the zip file into this folder
5. Open minecraft and click on "Mods and Texture Packs" in the main menu.
6. The pack should be there, enjoy!
Second question: The banner is just my personal signature, but I suppose you're welcome to use it if you like.

Hmm. In that case I suggest googling "minecraft install texture pack [computer system you use]" and you'll probably find something that tells you what to do. Good luck!
I'm curious to see what the opened chest will look like! Also, may I suggest keeping the vines somewhat vine-y, for that Portal 2 look?
The chest should look about the same as Notch's screenshot (but with my chest texture instead, of course). And yes, on the vines. The vines'll probably be like other nature elements... normal, or basically normal but slightly altered.
UPDATE: This isn't a pack update, but more of an informatory thing. I finished my dungeon! Go check it out. =)
UPDATE: 1.8 is being given in advance, so be warned: I haven't tested some of the textures to see if they actually look good or not (since 1.8 isn't out yet and all), so things might change for the 1.8 textures in the future. But maybe not, who knows? I won't even have access to some textures until it's officially released.
Other changes: EVERYTHING HAS BEEN SMOOTHED!
"Everything" being "terrain and art files." I still need to re-do the mobs. Ugh. (/kill me now). Most noticeable differences are the stone, wool, and storage cubes (And I'll redo the ores later on, I know they're not quite pretty right now. Sorry!)
New:
Both packs: Textured shears, chest-in-cart icon, fishing rods, sticks/arrows are darker for now, and alternate cubes and doors from Portal2 were included. Precisely Portal had the brick change to a "portal here" block. Modified Portal got a new cow skin and flowers.
Where can I find all of the alternate textures, and how do I use them?
Alternate textures are included at the bottom of the terrain file. You'd have to open the file and move the textures to replace a currently existing texture. I've labled them stuff like "door" and "dispenser" and so forth... things I already have a texture for, but have included alternatives if others want to use them.
1.8 beta has been released....oh you knew. well grates are added because i remember you said something about that.
It is true that 1.8 has been leaked, but I think I'll wait to do my testing until it is officially released (I might change my mind about this tomorrow. But definitely not today. Too late. Must sleep).
'Till then, just keep using the 1.8 version I put out in advance. It should fulfill your needs until 1.8 is officially released.
EDIT: 1.8 pre-release reaction: Dang it. I sure hope dynamic lighting effects on paintings is currently buggy and will be fixed for the official release... and I really hope I won't have to re-add the head and body to my portal spider. It's all glowy and... weird now... Dang it all. (*more testing*)
is there any way to acess older versions of the pack? I like the new stuff, but i want to be able to use the one old diamond block (the one that had an aperture on it)
1.8 changes are still in the works, but I won't put a new version up until Mojang fixes the numerous bugs (of which badly lit paintings is my pet peeve) and gets the official patch out. In other news... I may have to re-do the entire spider skin (unless Mojang fixes that "can't alter eyes.png without making mobs look ridiculous" thing. I hope I won't have to, because I really like the spiders, but if I must, I must.

my bad, it was just the texture of the map i was playing. I'll ask him to update.
UPDATE: Official 1.8 is up now. Stronghold textures were fixed and chests were added properly.
Endermen were changed relatively minorly because they looked really weird when I made them white or grey. They really just need to stay black as much as possible... same thing with the Silverfish. What the heck am I supposed to do for such a small mob?!
Spiders were also "fixed" in the sense that they don't have the glowing force-field from Mojang's transparency changes... I experimenting with giving the spiders heads and the sort so they wouldn't have floating glowy eyes, but DANG IT ALL! They just didn't look like Portal spiders! ...so now the spiders have floaty glowy eyes, because I still liked that better than giving them appendages. It's a bit disappointing to be sure. But I have to work with what Mojang gives me. If anyone has a better solution, I'm more than happy to see what spider skins you make (although I won't promise to add them).
I agree, and whats the door with the caution sign? I'm guessing wood.
Oh, that's a "put a portal here" block. It's not actually a door, It's just a variant of the two block high walls in Precisely Portal. Brick over dirt (normal walls are stone over dirt in that pack).
UPDATE: 1.9 Pre-release (not yet completed. Many textures are default 1.9 until a new texture can be made for them). Lava slime, blaze, and lilypads added. Updated crafting grid, inventory, and furnace. "Modified Portal" mushroom cows included, and "Precisely Portal" normal cow was textured as well.
In other news: I don't like the snow golems. Everything else is nice. =D
Next update might take me a bit more time. I've been busy developing graphics for an iphone game that needs to take my first priority. Hopefully the developer will get the next update out soon and I'll be able to work on other projects a little more.

Hmm,i did it precisely(no pun intended) and it doesn't show up in the game. Thanks for the banner though.
Okay, try following then. That might/should/possibly works?

Not yet. They'll probably have one for Precisely Portal at some point in the future though...
Check the opening post. That has all download and usage information.
