UPDATE: Beta 1.7 Pistons and shears (as well as the map that I somehow left off of 1.6).
Pistons will be a great addition to your dungeons, guys, so I highly suggest giving them a thorough go-over. I sure know that I'm replacing all my wool fire-released platforms with pistons now.
Wow, I was gonna request that you skin the pistons to look like Hippoplatimus's old mod, but those are fricken' sexy.
I always imagined the Minecraft Pistons being similar to the Portal Panels. They're a serious standard in any Portal map.
You're welcome to modify the packs to fit your own needs/dungeons/etc, but don't claim the textures as your own, and always link back here to the originals. Also, you cannot use these textures for revenue or profit. Thank you!
Hmmm... I tried changing the upload directions because I assumed that the "Open texture pack" button worked. But it might not.
So I've reverted the download directions back to normal. Try this:
1. Download the zip file here: http://www.mediafire.com/?l06ptp0ajrjdibk
2. Use your computers search function ("find" or "search") and type in "Run"
3. Open run and type: %appdata%/.minecraft/texturepacks
4. Drag the zip file into this folder
5. Open minecraft and click on "Mods and Texture Packs" in the main menu.
6. The pack should be there now. Enjoy!
what if your computer compresses the zip files because whenever i download a .zip it always changes to a folder

Mmmm... I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about here. If you download the link in the OP, you should get a zip file. If you don't, I can't help you there (it would be some sort of computer specific problem that I can't correct on your end).
First I was thinking "What? Flint and Steel as a lemon? That makes NO sense." So then I looked it up. *Watches video* ...Fine. The lemon is too awesome to leave out, so it will be included in the next update as the flint and steel. (Maybe only for Precisely Portal though. Lemon arrows for Modified Portal would just be weird, but I'll fiddle around before I decide on that)
Next version will also include altered glowstone and torches. Maybe some other things too since I'm still working on it, but we'll see.
"This is the original Beta Portal texture pack, supported by the original Alpha creator. Most other packs are variants on this pack."
So true... :wink.gif:
I'm glad you enjoyed that :biggrin.gif: I mostly added that phrase just to make myself feel better after realizing that the minorly-edited packs receive far more attention than the original pack... even when 80-90% of the pack is MINE.
Don't get me wrong-I don't mind edited packs. I understand that everyone has their likes and dislikes, and as long as they don't make money and link back crediting this pack I'm satisfied. But still... part of me dies when I see the Youtube videos with thousands of views congratulating random "so and so's" for "those awesome spiders" or "cameras" or whatever. MINE! MINE!!!! Even occasional recognition would be wonderful!
But I digress. Anyway, iChun, the updates you made to your gun mod are very nice. I've been gone for a bit, but after seeing the stuff you added to the mod I immediately started working on this pack again. :smile.gif: Great job!
...there should be an update either today or tomorrow, depending on long I decide struggle with that stupid #&%* fishing rod and bow.
Bah, sorry for the double post. I decided not to wrestle with the fishing rod and bow anymore today (so those will have to come in a later update when I can figure out how to make them look good.)
UPDATE:
Glowstone and torches were altered for both packs. An alternate, "cleaner" glowstone was included below in both packs as well for those who may not like the blue look. I may still fiddle with the glowstone a bit in the future, but the 2 pixel look is definitely better than the previous 4 one, so that won't change.
Precisely Portal had a combustible lemon from Portal 2 replace the flint and steel as well as a potato GLaDOS/defective turrets as flowers and a rocket turret replacing the dead shrub. Have fun being confused on the overworld now! =P
Okay, this is awesome!
I just have two questions,
How do you make the weighted cube and companion cube?
And what does Lapis Lazuli look like?
Thanks! :3

Lapis looks the same for both of the packs (check the terrain images in my OP to see it), but the cubes vary so it would depend on what pack you are using. Modified Portal uses clay and brick, and Precisely Portal uses pink and lime wool.
EDIT: Update coming along soon--as soon as I can find some good movie software to replace that STUPID Window's live movie maker GARBAGE so I can finally finish making my trailer for the packs. So give me a day or two and both packs will be updated with some nice changes.
Both packs: Re-skinned Skeletons to look more like the rocket turret and slimes to look more like the Storage Cube.
Default character skins were also included (Chell is default, but you can use the provided Steve if you prefer).
Armor was reskinned as well because I HATED the old helmet thing. Also retextured records, maps, saplings, long grass, shrubs....
New Minecraft logo and new paintings (Not all currently show in default Minecraft, but they're available as alternatives. Paintings have been slightly rearranged, but nothing tooooo drastic): Glados Eye (1x2), Aeiral faithplate (2x2), spiketrap (2x2), and repulsion gel (2x2).
Precisely Portal only: Skinned some animals to look all roboty. Squid, sheep, and wolves. (other animals will come later on once I get them a suitable skin)
Modified Portal only: Dead shrub is now a small cactus
I also suggest you guys give the new video in the OP a view. I had a lot of fun putting it together, and it'll give you a sneak peek into the dungeon I'm making.

The paradox is that both normal GLaDOS and Potato GLaDOS are there. =P
Also, carlotta, I absolutely LOVE this texture pack; every update you make is fantastic! Precisely Portal is honestly my favorite pack, above Misa, Xenoconetndi, and all those other ones!
Correct on the paradox! Ding ding, you win a half-eaten donut! (nom nom)
I'm glad you enjoy the pack, too. It's been a lot of fun making it... even though I still seem to have a long ways to go. And it's always nice to hear that people actually enjoy using it. Seeing the downloads rack up isn't the same thing as human interaction. =(
I'm working on 1.8 in advance, but I'll have to test the textures when it comes out (making a texture and seeing it are entirely different things. And some textures just won't change until I get a good idea of something to switch it out with. Like that stinkin' *@%$& bow I've scrapped design after design). So it probably won't take me too long to get a new version out when 1.8 is released. Hopefully.
In other news: my dungeon is almost done. I'm halfway through the boss battle, although I may have to change some things after 1.8 broadens my horizons.
who are you?
what is that?
ooh what is that thing?
maybe that thing?
ooh that thing has numbers on it!
oh hey! you're the lady from the test. hi!
what's wrong with your legs?
where are we going?
do you smell something burning?
AAAUUUGGGHHH!!!
