Resource Pack means I want a sound effect "SPAAAAAAAAAAAACE!" and other PORTAL sound effects.
I'll look into customizing some of the sounds for the packs, but it will probably take quite some time (since I'm already extremely busy and this is a lower priority on my list of things to do). But I definitely think it would be fun to have Portal sounds in the packs. =)
Hey I just made this animated command block texture and thought you might like it. If you want it I can send it your way.
An animated command block is a really good idea! I can't promise that I'll add your specific texture to the packs (because it would depend on if I think it fits in well or not), but if you send me the file I will most certainly give it a look. And either way--nice work texturing! I think that looks quite lovely. =D

Well it's suppose to be the computer from portal (not sure if I made it that well but it took me forever to make the animation and shading)
Here's the texture http://www.mediafire...mmand_block.rar

Lovely! I might make some minor modifications to the texture, but it's quite nice and seems to fit in with the packs well enough. So as long as you're alright with that I'll probably end up adding it later on. =)

I don't mind at all if you make modifications to the texture.
HOW DO I MAKE MY PORTALS LOOK REAL!? I CANT FIND "PORTALGUN.PROPERTIES"! I CAN ONLY FIND "PORTALGUN.CFG" SO I CANT EDIT SEETHROUGHPORTALS! PLEASE HELP! also, how do I get glados to taunt me on my main menu? please respond!

In 1.6 it should show up automatically. If you're using 1.5 or lower you'll need to manually replace those files in the .jar.

Replace them with what files?
Seeing through portals was an older version of iChun's mod, and he doesn't currently support that feature. It may return in the future, or it may not (but either way I'm afraid it's nothing I can change on my end here). And as to your second question: You open your minecraft files and locate the .jar (if you don't know how to do this I suggest googling it). Then you open the jar, delete the METAINF folder and then replace the currently existing language files with the ones I've provided (the .txt files like "splashes" or "win"). Just keep in mind that altering the jar files is permanent until you delete the entire bin folder and let minecraft re-download the files for you... so if you change the language files they will show up on ALL texture packs you use--and not just mine.
Hence why the 1.6 system is infinitely superior to 1.5. No need to manually do all that stuff--the language files will automatically show up when you use my pack, and automatically disappear when you don't. Woot! =D But if you're using 1.5 or lower you'll just have to do it all yourself.
Is there any chance you could make an animated texture for iChun's portals when they are closed? Having the portals so....static.. makes me want to do it myself - which I will, if you have too much on your plate right now. I just can't guarantee the same level of quality.
I figured out how to modify the portal gun textures. first, you have to create a folder inside the resource packs folder. name it the name of your texture pack. then, you have to copy the assets folder from the .minecraft into your resource pack folder. now, go into your 1.6.2.jar and copy your pack.mcmeta file into your resource pack. copy the contents of the assets folder into the one in your resource pack. now, go into your assets folder, and keep it open in the background. go into the portal gun mod for 1.6.1, and copy the portal gun folder. paste it into the assets folder. now you can modify the .png's with ease. when you are done, you just need to convert your resource pack into a .zip. i hope this helps
All of the names you gave the blocks are gone. What happened? D:
You two are probably playing in 1.5, right? The pack is now officially for 1.6, so if you'd like the 1.5 version you'll need to download that version (available in the change log).

Ummm... that's a good idea, but I can't promise anything as I've become waaaay busy as of late (and it may not technically be possible to animate those textures. I'd have to check... I know the portal texture is two .pngs, so that's already quite complicated even if it is possible). I'll put that on my 'to do' list which I may or may not eventually get around to. =P
This was a triumph. I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS!
Best texture pack ever!
My Wheatley and I will never part. Neither will my companion cube. ME TAKE IT EVERYWHERE.
Will you replace words and sounds to make use of resource packs?
Some words are already replaced for the changed items (like the personality cubes), and I may eventually get around to sounds. I'd like to do that sooner, of course, but I'm pretty darn busy lately.

That's... complicated. XD I'll have to try it out with my textures when I have some time for testing. Thanks for the info.
How do I get the pack for 1.5.2? There is a server currently on 1.5.2 and I need to use this texture pack for it.
Just use the version for 1.5 that's in the change log, and it will work in 1.5.2 just fine. The extra numbers are usually just bug fixes on Mojang's end, so there's nothing new for me to texture.
When I install the x32 pack the textures for the portal gun mod are still x16. Any help?
I can try, though I'm not very saavy on mods so I may not be able to help. What version of the mod are you using, and did you manually replace the textures? In basically any version of the mod you should be able to replace the default textures with mine... but if you want them to show up automatically that depends on which version of the mod you are using (if it supports that), and which version of my texture packs you are using (if it puts the files in the same location as the mod version).
Ehhh... it'd just be easier to manually replace the textures for now. Troubleshooting which specific circumstances you have would be too tricky, and chances are that I wouldn't know the answer anyway. XD But manual replacement should work in every scenario.
EDIT: This has now been fixed. Anyone who redownloads the packs should have the gun mod textures showing automatically.
Nothing in my packs should prevent a mod from working with them as long as you're using the same version of pack to correspond with the same version of mod and the same version of minecraft. (I.e: I just tested the packs with version 1.6.2 of Optifine and it worked fine).
is there a map link? if there is tell me I cant find one
Nope! These are texture packs, not map downloads. But there's a link at the bottom to various dungeons players have made if you'd like to check them out. Some are better than others, of course.
I figured out how to modify the portal gun textures. [blah blah, explanation shortened for time purposes] i hope this helps
EGAD that does help! I had the textures buried a few folders deeper (which worked in 1.5, but didn't work in 1.6). Thanks for the patience, guys--I'll get out a fix so that so you don't have to manually replace the textures. And many thanks to mootopia, solver of problems! <3
(Fixed) 1.6 update and preparation for 1.7: Since I need to get those gun mod textures working I've updated that in the links. Also, the first snapshot for 1.7 was just released yesterday and I'm rather excited for it! Here are the cute little fish(which are also in this update), along with packed ice and an updated poppy flower.

So I installed the resource pack. I click on it to use it. Then instead of it being selected, the default is selected. Why?
[I'm using 1.6.2, and I select my other RPs and they work just fine.]

That is extremely odd and I don't know what to tell you (it works just fine on my end in 1.6.2). Is anyone else having this problem, or is it specific to MineCraftFTW2013? If so... I'd suggest trying to reinstall minecraft or something since it's probably just a really weird bug. I'm not sure if that will help or not, but it's worth a try.
EDIT: Hm, since several hundred people have downloaded the packs since I updated I'm assuming that they are not actually broken (or someone else would have complained about it by now). It's probably just on your end, MineCraftFTW2013... but that really does suck. Sorry. =(
That's what the textures were made for! Just read the permission section to touch base on some very basic rules, and enjoy making your map!
