I have a great idea for a texture mod, or hopefully something notch could make. OK say you want to make a room out of..SANDSTONE! Now you want it all to be sandstone but want the walls, floor, and ceiling to have different textures, or even multiple kinds of sandstone textures for the walls. -Example below-
ceiling:
top layer of wall:
middle layer of wall:
bottom layer of wall:
floor:
see how boring and bland it is? Now say you have a few different texture packs and you would like to use a specific texture for the floor, walls, and ceiling. You could have all those texture packs in one folder and make it into one giant file. Than while in the game you could say...Hold down the "T" button and right click on the specific block to change the texture its using. -Example below- = the block that you changed.
ceiling:
top layer of wall:
middle layer of wall:
bottom layer of wall:
floor:
Alright, now say you had a few different textures and wanted to make the room have different ones for the ceiling, walls, and floor as i suggested before. -Example below-
ceiling:
top layer of wall:
middle layer of wall:
bottom layer of wall:
floor:
See? Now see how cool that looks? I think if notch could make this it would be pretty amazing! : D
Btw sorry I couldn't make the example more clear but I'm pretty sure its understandable :3 .
