Constructive criticism: We don't rag on your pack because all you did was remove the shading on all the blocks. We rag on it because you did it after 10 other people have already done it. Now, I haven't seen any pictures, so I can't pass judgment, but if you haven't done anything new with this pack, I'm not sure why you're releasing it.

A few improvements you should make, all color-based:
(1) Darken your cobblestone texture a little bit. Make it a LITTLE different from regular stone. Gives some more variety in the appearance.
(2) Lighten (NOT brighten! LIGHTEN! There's a substantial difference here) your sand texture. It looks more like a gold or glowstone texture than sand. Actually, I thought you HAD gold shores at first until I realized that stuff was sand. It's a little painful on the eyes having the sand that bright.
(3) Brighten your grass a little. Are you using the biome triangle for your grass or is it a predetermined green color? Either way, it could use to be a slightly brighter green. And your dirt color MAY want to be just a hair lighter as well.
Other than that, I really like what you've done with some of your details. Your ores look great, your note blocks/jukeboxes are VERY appreciable, and I like your bright books.
I'm planning on putting together a website specifically for my Cel-Pak texture pack family, but I intend to host additional "simple" texture packs on there as well. Your pack looks good... it MIGHT make its way on there.
This pack looks suprisingly simliar to another more famous simple pack called SimpleCraftas well. You might want to change your texturepack name and the blocks look very simliar to Simplecraft aswell. Hmmm? Is it a mere coincidence or something different?
Other words, I would like to use your texture pack but that and many other simple packs are quite dull though fast rendering. I use a more detailed 16p pack. I suggest to are more detail to ores and change torches to candles so the game looks more exciting. Adding custom water to it will make it pretty nice too.
There is nothing new to this pack whatsoever.
I have typed this same resonse to about 6 other packs, and I have ignored countless others.
I'm not saying you shouldn't have bothered, neither am I saying that it doesn't belong here.
But, if you do some searching for 'simple' then you find about 25 clones of your pack.
I just wish people would think along the lies of "Is my pack unique? What can I do to make it unique? Should I just use someone else's if I want simplicity?."

I looked at his, and it has 5x the amount of detail, yet it is simplistic.
Try and think of smething like this. Add some recurring theme or idea in the blocks hat makes it simple, yet unique.
Sure, after awhile we'll get clones of those too but it makes a change than everyone making solidcolor or solid colorwith an outline.
tl;dr
If you want block colors, there are six thousand packs out already.
If you want to make yourself a nice, unique texture pack, put some more effort in.
