I made this pack out of sheer boredom, and am yet to complete. Terrain is complete, but items, mobs and icons are still in the making.
I feel this removes the Minecraft feel, which is bad, but only to a point where it's less noisy. Tiling is an issue, but in helps define blocks.
Any help would be appreciated.

My only complaint is this: I've seen this before. Simple packs are very common here. Do you think you could take it somewhere unique stylistically?
I know what you mean, but as of now I am short of ideas. I do plan to alter the blocks, adding details every now and then. But the issue is, what can I add?
The good news is: Caramel Chocolate cake.
Its not bad, just that the pics you give dont show much of the pack at all. try showing pics of houses or something besides ice. and try and fix leaves, i dont like them too much..
Other than that looks pretty good, i wouldnt DL it due to the mass of unoriginal "simple" packs out there.
to be honest this looks like alot of other simple packs, they all have the same style, i have a simple pack and my main and first focus was making it different and unique, make sure it looks good but is still a different style and you will succeed
While I'm not much a fan of simple packs (unique or not) I do have respect for people who can think outside the box enough to make something really basic look good.
Here's my advice:
"Celshaded" outlines of every block have been done and done and done again. If you want a texture pack with that style, you might as well just download one. Take a look at Frenden, Cube Craft, Xaiwalker. There are some simple packs that convey detail with blocks, or have a shape as a central theme. Some have diagonal lines everywhere (I never got the appeal). You need something interesting to differentiate your pack from the mass of other simple packs here. Pick an interesting color scheme, or theme (be it a shape or a time period or even a place), or take a look around this topic and find some inspiration (but don't base your pack on another if it's your first; you probably won't have the skill to make it unique enough).
Oh, and, uh, I don't really like your cobble. It looks a bit too messy. Though, that could just be me.
