Screenshots: Looking at the landscape, still possible to see how the world looks.
Found a dungeon! (Dark, square floor, surrounded by "windowed" blocks, probably means dungeon)
On my way down. (Note the exposed iron ore by the lava, any exposed ore should be fairly easy to spot, however ore that is not exposed sadly cannot be seen due to how minecraft textures the blocks)
Success!
View from underground. (notice the diamonds above the dungeon!)
Notes:
- All ores have the square ore color on them, same as in the default texture pack.
- Stone + Gravel are completely invisible. (In the pictures gravel can still be seen)
- Sand is slightly less visible than the rest of the "windowed" blocks.
- If this is your texture pack upon loading the game, you should see my updated Mojang logo, which I am quite proud of.
- If you have any comments/suggestions, please do let me know.
- If you actually are considering donating money for this pack, PM me and I'll give you a paypal link, but I don't think this is worth the donations. :tongue.gif:
I am having trouble finding dungeons with this pack. Caves are easy enough to find, but I can't see whether or not there is a Monster Spawner in them. Also, it is a easy to find ore, as it shows up even though other blocks, but getting to it when you have to dig though completely invisible smoothstone and have no idea what kind of tunnel you are digging is rather difficult
Edit; Ores do not show up through solid bock's. They do however show up when they are in a cave and one or more sides are exposed from the wall. Also, it looks as though for some reason not all lava shows up either. Here I was trying to get to some ore, and the next thing I know I'm standing in lava and on fire. Not good. T.T

One of the key factors about dungeons is that they are rectangular, almost square in shape. Since mossy cobble is completely solid, and cobble is semi-solid, you should see a solid black floor with semi-solid walls. This would be a dungeon.
And I'm not entirely sure how to fix ores not showing up, I could try adding a bit of texture to stone, to see if that makes them show up, but I'm not sure if that will change anything. (Minecraft renders blocks oddly)
If you guys have any suggestions on what I can change to make it easier to use, I'd definitely consider them.
So minecraft only renders blocks exposed by air. That means that the ore you can't see actually doesn't exist, so it has nothing to do with the textures of anything. My suggestion, is someone makes a mod that allows ores to to render regardless of if air is touching it. I'm not sure if this is possible though. And if it was, all that coal you'll wind up seeing will block all the extra good stuff :smile.gif:
There is actually a mod that makes these packs really obsolete, the x-ray mod. lots of different options for different blocks & solves the problems with ores not being rendered.

- February 6: Initial release.
Find where a dungeon/ore is and mark the spot (aboveground) with a sign. Dig down and collect your prize.

I planned to make various versions so people can look for specific ores, ores in general, or only dungeons, etc.

X-ray mod can be really buggy, plus its detectable, texture packs are much more efficient.
Nice work, I do have an x-ray texture pack, but this one can't find ore and makes gravel and stone invisible, great work my friend.
