I'm making a nether-ish texture pack, but I was wondering if there was a way to recolor water, lava, and the sky. Recoloring the .terrain doesn't work, and I can't find another file.
unless you're making a 32px pack, water and lava can't be changed. the colour of the sky can in fact be changed, but because the original color is coded into the game, unless you're a modder it's staying the same.
EDIT: for helping me figure out my X key (took me two minutes for that to show up) was jacked up.

Actually, you can add custom water and lava to 16x packs. You just need an hd patcher, for example, xau's. And you are right for the sky, it cannot be changed.
