Hello internet, I am a newbie texture creater that it trying to get his first pack together. I've been running in so some problems with importing the file to minecraft, which I will try to detail as much as possible here.
-I run a mac version 10.6.6
-anytime I run a program using the files I have zipped on my computer, the texture pack selector gives me the equivalent of a "cannot load" error, with a picture of the basic texture in Black/white and loading the basic texture pack.
-This includes files that work with minecraft, and after I unzip then rezip said files, they no longer work.
-I have made sure that the terrain.png is in the main file and the items.png are in the gui file
-I have used rucksack to try and see if this is a problem with the basic compresser, and no such luck (Maybe it has the bug too?)
TL;dr: N00b texturer has textures but can't get them loaded
Any help would be great!
Make sure the contents are not in a folder in the zip itself. What I mean is usually when you zip something it will stick it all in a single folder, sort of like this:
--> ZIP:
----> main folder, usually the same name as the zip
------> mobs folder
------> gui folder
------> terrain.png
So on and so forth. I have to manually make my ZIP's by creating a dummy zip, adding the content to the root of the zip and deleting the dummy content.
