It seems that you are distributing the minecraft.jar file instead of just a texture pack, which is against the rules to distribute that file. You may want to remove your link until you sort it out.
Or, you can just do it the way you're supposed to because you're on the freaking Minecraft official website doing illegal things WITH Minecraft.
All you have to do is put all the files together in a .ZIP file the same way they are in minecraft.jar and you're golden. It's not even like it takes much effort.
All i did was open the minecraft.jar in .minecraft in my home folder, unpacked them, switched some images, and repacked them ad olde skool, since the texture system is borked. Think before you speak.
That means it's illegal to do it "old skool". Duplicating and redistributing ANY of the original game files is illegal.
Besides that, the game has supported .ZIP-style texture packs for three months now. There's absolutely zero reason whatsoever to do it "old skool" save for ignorance.
Minecraft doesnt respond to half the images the minepedia says it does. Discuss this matter, or ban me, whatever so pleases you.
Take a look at some of the other texture packs here, and you'll see how you should pack up the files that you changed in a zip file, you don't need to distribute the minecraft.jar file, it's not necessary.
It's no skin off my teeth what you do, I'm only offering you some friendly advise, I'm sure somebody will end up reporting it and the link will be removed by the mods anyway, they always do, and it always is (eventually).
Just trying to help you along to put out your texture pack without distributing the minecraft.jar file which as I'm sure you must know, is basically the guts of the game.

Protip: Generally when people try to help you, you shouldn't insult them.
